Poor large goods collection service.i needed a washing machine collecting as it had broken down. Took ages in store to get a collection arranged. When I got one on the day they rang me and said they couldn't get their massive truck past the parked cars and had to abandon the collection.
Wtf, so applying for a job and have another sort of driving test again?? No wonder the UK has shortage of drivers. In the company I work there is no assessment. Am 19 have a class 1 started straight on a 67 plate Volvo FH4 500 amazing job.
Which company is that comradebismarck?, do they take on HGV Class 1 drivers with zero experience?, are they based in the North West.......I passed my test in Jan 23, and been trying since then to no avail to get into the HGV industry, I have managed 2 (soon to be 3) shifts on Class 2, because I know the Transport manager of a company near where I work in my current job in Bristol, but I intend to leave this job, get into the HGV Driving industry and go back home for work to be nearer the family.......these assessments are a way of saying from the company that the DVSA Examiners are not doing their job properly if you were to ask me, as I would be livid as an examiner for the DVLA to not have my judgement trusted.
Argos delivery drivers are a law unto themselves. I personally know of an elderly lady 84 years old who ordered a single mattress, she lives in a first floor flat and the delivery driver would only drop the item at her doorstep, expecting this elderly lady to carry the mattress up by herself. Dreadful service. Order was cancelled and we contacted customer service, which was when we were told by their customer service that the delivery drivers can do what they want due to their union, without fear of any comeback. I certainly will not be buying from Argos ever again.
