Toshi Hijikata changed me. I was once a mayo hater, but seeing him eat all that mayo inspired me to give it another chance, and as a result I eat the Hijikata special every morning.
When the ss3 and Movie end I really really really want studio make the series when Takagi and Nishikata married and have Chi This anime is the one that make me today. So in my opinion, Teasing Master Takagi-san is the best romcom from now. What a Masterpiece Anime.
zenitsu she annoying his voice sound like a pussy and crying baby and you guys should be laughing in the next scene why because she's scared by spider's he deserted be so annoying 😂 I wish I could jump into anime would and beat up zenitsu so badly
Oh man, I am so glad that someone articulated so nicely. Anime is for kids and for crazy Japan lovers who think that living in Japan is anything close to the anime world. You nailed it on the shallow dialogue and weird sounds that pops at every corner. But trust me, after living in Japan for long enough, I start to kinda understand where that comes from. The weird and exotic language, the unholy exaggerated body language , the squeaks and grunting and the massive amount of stupid onomatopoeia they use trying to communicate with each other is on another level.... Feels almost like... they come from another planet.... add to that the ungodly number of layers of language they have (Very courteous, courteous, neutral, casual, very casual, dirty) which can vary dramatically, which creates a weird linguistic mashed potatoes with awkward, weird expressions, empty dialogues and unnatural over-reactions in form of alien sounds to the ears of non-Japanese. This is getting worse in recent anime, where they keep recycling a few story-lines/generic characters and plots while spiking up the weirdness in the dialogue to create an illusion of character or plot progression and growth
real i found this anime by coincidence 3 years ago, not from video recommendations of any sort, but just from surfing around for romance animes. i just went ahead and downloaded the first season just because i got captivated by the cover photo of the anime. and didn't regret doing it. felt like a gem of the early generations.
Stop moving the screen and switching clips 20x a second. The guy who said u edit good is just lying. This is making me dizzy af Also ur hand moving is so freaking annoying. But atleast the narrating is good
I discovered School Rumble in 2011 in highschool and fell in love with it. Funny I almost wrote the show off at first revisited the show for some reason and it became one of my favorite things.
the only reason why anime dialogue weird, it's because the language differences, from my first language is fking awesome.english sucks when come to that,so learn Japanese or Chinese
You'll get the point of the vid if you maybe watch some proper and mature Japanese media like a Kurosawa or Ozu film instead of your uncultured juvenile taste. Jfc you weebs are disgustingly delusional.
Man, it's been damn near two decades since I've watched this show. One other thing that you've reminded me was that the music slapped too. I really liked this show in my teens and became a HarimaXEri shipper. Thanks for the reminder!
Still One of the best romance anime for me simply because how well relationship betwen each cast written, like every character have multiple possible love interest and such.
@@ZeroCloudsZeroSkies because anime writers dont know how to talk like that. They're not regular men. All they can do is have weird dialogue cause they're weird.
this show is truly great. i watched it years ago and instantly fell in love with it. harima is the GOAT and was voiced so well in the english dub. his change of tones we he gets serious of depressed is great. one thing that makes this show stand out is how well connected each character is. its like the red string on news articles meme. each misunderstanding grows the other characters more and more. not getting a true season 3 is such a crime, and even the official manga is missing the last few chapters from being printed, its digital only unless you buy the " bootleg" copies.
Such an amazing show. I love it because it’s ridiculous but still grounded in character. Characters change and grow and the writers do a good job at fleshing out their motivations. It makes you feel invested in the characters and empathize with their situations
@@AfterthymeGaming most anime right now are from light novel and most of light novel author is lonely otaku that why there so many cringe generic isekai, harem, rom-com out there I swear to fking god.
Reagrdless of you're opinions, do you seriously think that you can sum up entire animated shows from Japan into this? That's just plain disrespectful to the art and people who make them. You're probably the type to say all American cartoons are for kids
I had a girl go head over heels for me when I brought up School Rumble, she had told me that I'm the only other person she's ever met who had even heard of it! Unfortunately it didn't work out in the long run, but this is a perfect couples watch.
I love school rumble because it's completely ridiculous. Nothing makes sense, and yet every character fits together perfectly. It feels like each character could have a season written just about them, and their stories would be just as entertaining to follow.
Should I get one ? I don’t think I’m popular enough yet , plus having to moderate one seems really annoying . A lot of RU-vid discord servers end up going wrong , my dms are always open on Instagram and Twitter if anyone wants to message me though
@@ZackoAnime true, discord servers do get toxic very fast, but you have to have a big enough audience to scoop up the bottom of the gene pool. They are the best to garner a community outside yt. (who doesn't love parasocial relationships?)
Parasocial relationships do make it possible for a lot people to make a living . Maybe I’ll make a discord sever eventually, I don’t like the ego part of it though , it feels lame .
I just finished watching Fate Apocrypha after a long period without watching anime, (the last one I saw was Fate Zero) and this is exactly what made the show feel like complete garbage to me, there wasn’t a single character that I felt like relating to, everything felt super artificial and stupid, even to the point that I was looking forward to the death of the main character or the end of the series cause I couldn’t withstand a single frame of Sieg, the only character that doesn’t get all my hate is Shakespeare and I think that is because he is a poet so I really didn’t care if the way he spoke sounded stupid, tbh I think the entire dialogue of Apocrypha was based on a random collage of poems, and not really good ones. I just can’t believe that 2 years ago I used to enjoy crappy interactions like the ones in this Fate and I hope that the reason I felt so bad about coming back to anime was that I stumbled into a garbage series instead of anime being like this. Tbh the enthusiasm for watching anime again fade away super fast and now I’m considering whether I should watch another series or leave anime in the past.
@@Kai04834 I believe fate zero is exception , I don't think you would find another of that sorts in fate. I'm surprised you survived apocrypha. My heart sank when karna lost and threw one liner -" my ego got the best of me" . Literal dumpster.
@@enumaerish6970 I know, so many great characters went completely undeveloped and killed because of the attention that the production paid to the stupid love arch of Sieg 💀
@@ZackoAnime, what do you think about it? Is it a good show? Are dialogues good enough? I haven't watched it but I am planning to but I wanna know if its wroth it. So please tell me
That’s a touch one , I watched when I was about 15 4 years ago , It was pretty investing and I cried like every episode . I think there are a lot cringy parts and its dialogue isn’t the best. It’s something that I would only reccomened to anime fans I think ?
@@ZackoAnime , alright then, thanks for the heads up. Will be giving it a shot. Last question, are the characters in this show any good? I get that good characters can only be made from good dialogues but maybe sometimes it can not be the case and can have exceptions.
Better than most anime , it’s about what youde expect from like those 8/10 anime that people think are amazing cuz they make you cry , idk , don’t worry too much it’s worth watching , I like it
I wouldn't say you can necessarily ascribe it all to culture because Japan produces other types of media where people don't talk like anime characters, you've definitely nailed though how so many shows get by with poorly defined characters talking past each other. Limited animation where the character just mouth flaps and the voice actor has to provide the characterization with an exaggerated voice doesn't help either.
This problem is not exclusive to shonen. And some shonen still has decent dialogue. Sure it feels good to feel like you're above an anime genre but the problem is that most anime in general is simply juvenile. The problem with weebs is that they call themselves cultured and yet they don't even read books, watch cinema or seek great art and it shows by the way they call a piece of media manufactured to appeal to them "peak fiction". Read Soseki, Murakami, watch an Ozu film etc... and you will realize what I'm talking about.
@@canti7951 I agree. The video mentions better anime, however he judges an entire media by its lowest denominator - which I can't say is exactly unfair, I do believe the writers know their public isn't exactly well read about anything most of the time regardless of age range. I see mostly in japanese games the constant need for repetition, a problem mentioned in the video, because apparently even in there people have the attention spam of a goldfish. Books are also invaded by YA, booktok garbage but still have Nabokov, Golding, Dumas and Shakespeare despite the countless attempts to ignore/erase some of them. Standards in general are in fucking Cocytus and it's not a media exclusive problem. The problem isn't when everything isn't highbrow (I don't think that was ever the case in anything ever), the problem starts when middlebrow goes to absolute shit. Also I 100% agree and if I see another "peak fiction" for a fight imma flip, and I love a good fight scene.
I disagree with the “expectation” part I mean you must be crazy to think first few arc of One Piece to syrup village is better than water 7/enies lobby..
Well it’s more like I enjoyed syrup village more because I wasn’t expecting anything, plus enies lobby anime has like ridiculous pacing issues . On paper enies lobby is better I just enjoyed syrup village more
