I have and its dog shit coz they already have the reg in camera but what ever it just means I hog the pump for longer while I get dressed again 😂 ps all machines require maintenance and replacement parts shit just wears out if you use it and the older it gets the more things break…
Glad you got it repaired albeit £285 which I am sure you could do without having to spend. I have extended Triumph Approved warranty on my Speed Triple RS which I needed to claim on in march at MOT time as the tester said the rear hub bearings were worn as play in the wheel which cost £330 to replace and fit to pass it's MOT and two years before I needed to claim as the 3rd and 4th gears of the gearbox gave up and that repair was £2,300. And Triumph know about this so if I'd not had their Approved Warranty and they refused to sort it out with no cost to me, I was prepared to sue them as my bike and only done 1,300 miles at the time. The warranty is £349 a year which includes full breakdown cover EU as well. YT is beaming you to us in 1080p, not 4k. The image quality is not great even for 1080p HD. I have never been asked to remove my helmet when paying for fuel. If I were, I would point blank refuse. End of.
I mean £285 isn’t disastrous but these sorts of things just shouldn’t happen with premium brands, especially when the bike is only lightly used! Interesting that it’s only coming in 1080p - I’ve checked and it is 4k. Sometimes you have to select it manually, if you select the playback settings when watching the vid does it give you the option to change video quality to 4k?
@@fozbox Yep, 100% agree with you on premium bikes with little use. If you feel sufficiently agrieved you could always make a claim against Triumph or the dealer you bought it from stating you don't believe this component was of suitable durability and quality and should not have failed. Take them to the Small Claims Court., but it's all time and hassle. They would probably settle before your case was heard as although it is still £285 it's not worth them defending.
Glad you got the issue repaired and didn’t break the bank. Not cheap, but peace of mind comes at a cost. Thanks for the tour of summertime Britain. “Mooching” must be a synonym for “honing one’s contempt for motorists and fine-tuning one’s cursing abilities.” That’s what I do when I ride.
I don't really see the issue here, he was obviously lost, and probably just couldn't see you because you pulled right up to his arse, which maybe you didn't need to do.
Odd sort of rock festival. Really hope this issue gets sorted more or less painlessly. Btw, wouldn’t it make sense to have pedestrians separated from wheeled traffic?
I own a 2022 Speedmaster and experienced a similar issue. Tried to start the bike and it didn’t crank right over, acted as if the battery was flat. Hit the switch again and it started right up with ABS, Engine warning light on. I shut her down and restarted and everything normal. Eventually I found two items. The ground stud to the left of the battery was slightly corroded, cleaned it and gave it a spritz with ACF50 put the boot back over the stud and all seemed right for about a month. Then the issue occurred again but at the same time I had noticed some oil spots on the floor and upon further examination I found that there was a slight oil leak dripping onto the connector for the rectifier. The oil leak is a common problem with some units and the bike is at the dealership to be repaired under warranty. I pick it up in a day or so and hopefully problem solved.
@@fozbox if the oil leak from the stator wiring seal is a common problem, Triumph may have extended the warranty coverage. If in fact that’s your issue it would be worth pursuing
I absolutely love listening to your RU-vid channel I say listening because I am blind ha ha anyway can we please just appreciate how this guy has replied to to nearly every single comment on his RU-vid channel. By the way, just a reminder please subscribe.🥰🥰🥰
That’s really kind thank you. I never even considered that blind people might watch RU-vid…so I’m delighted that my channel has a place in this beautiful diverse world of ours ☺️
Thanks for the update, I’m glad the fix wasn’t too expensive and that you’re back in the saddle and enjoying the ride once again. I’m hoping to make the Speedmaster my next bike so I’m watching lots of videos to learn about the good and the bad. Seems to be mostly good so far. Keep on riding safely mate and greetings from Brisbane, Australia. 👍
Rest assured, the quality of your new camera is spot on. I haven’t been on a bike for a couple years and when you almost decorated that woman’s bumper the effect on my stomach was so real it was enough for me to reconsider getting back on. 😉
FozBox your videos are great! I love the roads you ride through and hearing the sound of the Speedmaster! Just got my speedmaster last month and riding it whenever I get a chance and it's absolute joy:)
Glad you're back on the road and recording ;) I changed from GoPro (10) to Osmo Action 4 recently myself because of the better audio options. Apparently the official DJI lav is the one to use if you want a lav. It's been said to be excellent and as you know compatibility can cause havoc, but of course the DJI one is nicely compatible. I went a different way and got DJI Wireless Mic2 mics. One can be connected direct to the Osmo via bluetooth and the quality is on a par with wired lavaliers. Makes for a very simple and wireless setup. You can even run 2 wireless mic2s simultaneously, but you then need to use the adapter on the Osmo and run a wire to the receiver that comes with the pair of mics (if you buy the set). The advantage then, though, is you can tuck a mic in the helmet chin _and_ stick one somewhere it can hear the engine/exhausts. I'm working on the best setups as I type. Must make a vid... Also got an Insta360 X4 just to really complicate things! It's not a cheap hobby... BT connection to the Insta360 X4 turns out to be a bit poo, but it also has an adapter, so I figure I can have the Osmo wireless to the chin mic and the Insta360 wired to the receiver and recording the engine noise... If you're interested, check out my DGR vid (will finish processing in about an hour) where I use a combo of vid from Osmo and Insta360 and a pair of DJI Mic2 mics sometimes mixed in with the Insta360 on board mics! Was complex to edit, but a good test hehe.
@@fozbox It sure is an arse sometimes, but satisfying results :) I process with Premiere Elements and it was dog slow this time because I chose to record in HEVC (H.265 instead of H.264) and a mix of 30 and 60 fps... Even with a good PC every click was lagging multiple seconds... took hours to edit... and then you process and upload! hehe And now RU-vid is still processing... Hope I don't have to re-upload (which took hours) lol. But, yeah, fun hobby! Hehe Keep at it dude. I enjoy your style. Natural and relaxed is very watchable. We all cross fingers to 'go viral' eh? Until then, you have to grit teeth in the annoying bits and enjoy the rest!
Good seeing you back mate. Yeah, audio is the bane of all our lives trying to make content. My set-up was good enough or so I thought, and then I found out I was only getting audio in one of the stereo channels and no-one had told me for about 5 videos. At least I know now though and I took to mirroring the channel in the edit, until I eventually buy a different mic.
Wonderful to hear the good news about the bike. And the pic and sound quality was great! Also, thank heavens for ABS. Holy cow hat scared me just watching the lady boner almost bin you!
Yank here, well more of a Confederate really, with a 2016 America. Gave up my HD bagger for her. Needed a lighter bike due to age and bad knees. It's been a gem of a bike and the last bike for me. When I can't handle the America, I will go to a scooter. I never fully experienced your issue. But after one year where I didn't winterize her she sputtered and was dying at stop. Buddy recommend Sea Foam and fresh gas. After 50 miles she was back to purring again. Now every Fall she gets Sea Foam run in her before storage. I am not into cold weather and rain I admit. If she had belt drive I would love her even more. My HD riding friends admire her because she is a rare sight over here. Triumph built me a darling of a bike and she is staying with me to the end. Enjoy your dialogue, very entertaining 😅
Hi! Thanks for the message. Apparently there is a blet drive conversion kit out there somewhere? I definitely need to give her a better winter bed but the fault this time was a spark plug cap of all things!
You can yes, but that would create quite an uncomfortable angle for your wrists. Better option would be to get handlebar raisers to lift by a couple of inches. Being 6ft3 the only time I find my knees a problem really is in car parks
I'm thinking of buying one of these, and Google recommended your video. I should mention that I live in Finland but I'm originally from the UK, and moved here almost 30 years ago. As I watched, the roads seemed remarkably familiar and I couldn't believe it when I saw you turn to Stourhead. I grew up in Zeals and my parents are buried in Stourhead churchyard. I used to ride the same roads in my teens and early twenties, and it's quite nostalgic watching you riding the same roads now, almost like I'm re-living my youth. 😂 I still come back about once a year to visit my relatives in Mere. Anyway, thanks for the good and interesting information, and keep them coming. 🙂
Be very careful about crossing a road with standing water on it, especially if it's less than an inch deep. It may be covered in slippery clay, as slippery as grease. I've met with that before..
Hat the way these guys secure a heavy bike from falling...one poxy thin strap. Hope its not to big a job to fix your machine. Sound electrical going by the indicators acting up at the same time.
Hi FozBox, around 7:30 on where is this beautiful country lanes you are riding in the UK? Absolutely wonderful and perfect for easy motorcyclist's nirvana :) BTW Stonehenge is perhaps the world's most famous prehistoric monument. It was built in several stages: the first monument was an early henge monument, built about 5,000 years ago, and the unique stone circle was erected in the late Neolithic period about 2500 BC. Stonehenge was already 500-1,000 years old before the first pyramid was built.
Hi, i have the 2020 model, the season is just starting here in Canada, never had any problem with my bike yet, did you find out the problem and the cost to fix.
It seems like you ran out of gas, but that would be easy to figure out, so it's probably a clogged fuel filter or fuel pump. Have you figured it out/ gotten it back on the road yet?
I've had this on my T100. Put a pint of paraffin into a low filled tank and run it through. It's as good as any more expensive filter cleaners, then do it once in a while, always on a low tank.
Stumbled across this video and immediately recognised that road into Frome, even though I haven't been on it for over 20 years! As for the bike, if the battery was completely knackered it wouldn't turn the motor over, so it's probably either fuel or ignition. If it was running perfectly before you refuelled then that's where I'd start, but of course that could just be a coincidence. Hope you get it sorted soon.
3 months with no trickle charge, but you charged before taking it out for a ride didn't you? Modern systems are very tuned in to the state of the battery.
I'd expect any issues with the engine management to throw up a light on the dash but it does sound like fuel starvation. I had a blocked in-tank fuel filter on a dirt bike which gave exactly the same symptoms.
Yea no engine lights, info messages on the screen or helpful things like! General consensus seems to be accumulated water condensation after winter…the hunt continues 😂
No doubt that will be what happens but it’s fun to have a tinker first and also the comments are useful to make me and others aware of the potential problems and perhaps how to avoid them…you’re welcome to add your own 😂😂
@@fozbox totally agree, tinkering is great on older bikes but there's not much you can do on modern stuff, apart from air in the tyres, but I like the posts for their amusement factor ❤️
What do you use for fuel injector cleaner? I have found anything with PEA in it to work well. It works fast, but I also found that regular automotive AFT (automatic transmission fluid) will get the stuff that the other stuff didn't, but it takes many miles. I've been adding more than a few ounces of ATF per tank for a few tanks and found the bike to seem to like that quite well.
