Well video is 2 years old now so most of the fresh air motor control motor drives are burnt out, you have a cook area grease vent too close to a VRF with clean air change suction right by the grease vent on video animation. No techs that have a clue how to fix anything except a plug and play circuit board and many of these systems while just drop and set RTUs being installed wrong and wired wrong and oversized for current ductwork that no one is going to upgrade. As an inspector Its sad to see all your engineering going into the trash can at install and no one ever fixing issues at the installer phase.

I love these in depth videos of your guys'. It really helps me understand how HVAC systems and Mechanical Engineering works. If I have one request, please add closed captions to your videos. The automatically made RU-vid one's can get a little iffy sometimes.

I live in Arizona where the design humidity is negative. Introducing outside air could be used to reheat and modulate the comfort conditions (instead of hot gas reheat). Question: Has anyone taken advantage of this with a simple OSA damper and a smart control? This is especially relevant to homeowners with oversized equipment are stuck in discomfort and the waste associated with compressor short cycling

Another extremely informative video from you guys. You've explained the subject matter way better than what my professor did in my UNI years. If I've seen this video right after graduation, I'd probably pursue an HVAC career as a mechanical engineer. Now thanks to this video, I feel like I missed half of my life due to missing the thing that I really wanted as professional. It's not too late though. Thank you very much.

18:39 I do believe this is a phase to phase connection, but you describe taking a single phase which would then be a phase to ground connection… possibly edit this portion so your dialogue matches your graphic 🤷‍♂️

I wish we would remove all the governmental regulations around efficiency and get back to decently priced equipment. People in my area are going back to window units because of the rapid cost increases. Units used to easily last over twenty years, I'm still pulling out old 50 year old Yorks. It seems that this time frame is getting less and less, now it's closer to 12-15 years before replacement and quadruple the cost. With all the electronics there are many more failure points. I'm all for advancement but we've taken it to the extreme. We will soon be pricing ourselves out of a job. Great video by the way.

Good question. We promote serving the kitchen space with a unit supplying 100% outdoor air, so in this case the air coming into the kitchen wouldn't have to be conditioned, or only minimally conditioned. The kitchen is likely to have the most heat gains, so this is great for efficiency. The unit serving the dining area usually brings in a smaller % of outdoor air, and typically has fewer heat gains. You might say, "why not bring in 100% outside air into the dining area too?" But the reality is that doing so would greatly alter the building balance. We would be heavily pressurizing the building and would have to speed up the kitchen exhaust fans to account for this, negating any energy benefits, and also potentially introducing drafts.

I really appreciated this video and found it extremely helpful! However, I noticed a significant ERROR regarding wind towers (wind catchers). While the video mentions that they were made by the Egyptians, it's important to clarify that wind catchers, also known as "Badgirs," actually originated in Iran and have been a traditional architectural element in Persian architecture for centuries. They are also found in other Middle Eastern countries, including Egypt, but their invention is credited to Iran. I am surprised that a great video like this made this huge mistake! I hope this can be corrected for accuracy. Thank you for the great content!

@ 14:25 Lenze ❤; I’ve seen very reliable old lenze inverters 😊 There are many good and reliable inverters models on the market 😊 I really prefer a totally sealed electronic boards on inverters… not vented… - vented ones they are always looking for trouble 😅 (dust and humidity combinations 😅) But a good integration in the produc can totally prevent problems 😊

@ 12:23 I kinda like painted metal ( good experience with Daikin and not only) ; sink is quite ugly - and i think a woman will always choose a painted one … and in many offices there are women that can influence a decision 😅 and there are many husbands who are very obedient at woman decisions 😂 They sit on the roof - they don’t have to look nice but if you’re building is not the tallest in the area the grey color is not the greatest for the neighboors… In the end Using zinc really helps in the speeding up of the developing process of a new product 😊
