In 2018, I'm Back. Samuel Mello Medeiros, together with his partner Filippo Nishino, form the "I'm Back GmbH" company based in Lugano, Switzerland. 2018 won an award together with Panasonic and Fujifilm at the photokina fair in Cologne - Germany from the Cinema 5D blog, and took second place in Switzerland for best Statup of the year. They will receive criticism from all over the world, because they come out of the usual, but they have not given up and have gone ahead because they believe that it is the right path and with this came compliments also from great names in photography and the photographic industry and the rest is history ...
I love the idea behind your camera but i dont expect too much from your camera based on everything you showed all over internet. There are many disadvantages of your camera regarding image quality for photos and video. I saw the video sample you uploaded and the quality is terrible in comparison of cellphones for example. It wont be easy to place your camera on the market and find the correct consumer for your camera. I am really confused what this camera is for and who will be your target.
Hello! To clarify: 1. **Prototype Presentation**: - What you saw were images produced by a prototype with a 2-megapixel sensor. - We haven't finalized the product yet, so it's essential to withhold judgment until the final product is available. 2. **Confidence and Efforts**: - We are confident and working closely with suppliers to ensure we deliver the best product in terms of cost-effectiveness. 3. **Target Audience**: - Our target audience includes travelers, vloggers, and everyday individuals seeking high-definition photos with a telephoto lens. - The aim is to provide superior quality compared to smartphones in a compact, versatile format accessible to all. Overall, while initial impressions might raise concerns, we're dedicated to refining our product to meet and exceed expectations. Best regards, I’m Back team
If you have a analogue camera there is a light sensitive roll inside, 12 or 36 exposed images. I think a modern flex ccd sensor in a roll is the way we need to for reuse the old analogue camera’s..... like the Samsung fold Smartphone can work why not a flex ccd film in a roll ? including storage chip like a flash memory 36 expose images and can be erased, works as a normal film roll almost no need for electronics in site, after the exposed "film” you can rewind it as a normal film, take it out and put it in a wireless holder or usb c to transport the pictures to your computer, and erase the ccd film roll place it back and reuse it. The CCD film is just like a regular film roll set for the ISO and DIN values, so there are different light strength rolls available, just like with the old system. Power with a 12v car key or Airco battery exchange every load.
Thanks for your suggestion! look at our website and check out our new model! this video is our first version... now we have inside a camera the film roll digital! Tks
Not! This is a first photos years ago… now the quality and vignettes is better. Look here: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1TxYcH2cIWPgd-m0B03o91H0vmHXb6HZW
There's definitely potential and I applaud y'all for combining classic and new technology. I'll be keeping an eye out for what the future versions look like.
I wish someone could make a low cost digital back that didn't use a "ground glass" to capture the camera image. This approach is pretty limited in quality.
Judging by how bulky this can seemly become, I would say your best bet would be using this on a Yashica. They are so light weight. Would this fit any Yashica Mats? Like EMs or LMs?
For these 35mm cameras, rather than having an external assembly could a sensor and circuitboard be placed in the camera? Perhaps a spacing adapter could be attached to the lens mount to maintain the proper flange focal distance.
I like how you have documented the development of this digital back. It would actually be really interesting to hear more details about the entire process, funding, design, engineering, prototyping, manufacturing, outsourcing, distribution, marketing, teamwork, execution, etcetera. That kind of business oriented documentation would be useful to people who are developing many other products and the broad appeal of that information might give the 'I'm Back' more attention.
Hi! Is it possible pre-order here: igg.me/at/imbackmf or, if you prefer, contact me and I prepare an offer direct to you, but the delivery for MF model is for after the Chinese holidays. Tks
