After you hook up the wiring, how are you running out of the vehicle to the trailer itself? I see a hole in the bumper where it looks like i can run the wire, but im having a tough time fishing it through. I'm curious how you did that. Thank you for the tutorial
@@redneckryan i went down behind the headlight and out through that hole in the bumper. That way when I'm not using the trailer I can tuck everything away sight unseen

Redneck, my a$$! You're a top of the heap, possibly self taught, self created, engineer! Haven't seen many pf your other videos YET!!!, but I just left a h€ll of a long comment at the one you posted about the wire repair on your water heater. I said why I think you hit on something that is genius, and why, along with my ASAP plans and why. BTW, did you ever change the wire clamps out? Did you need to? How long were they up? I'd love to know if you see this, if you have the time. If not, I get it, and you're worth gold, imo, if you do respond or not. I'm your biggest new fan, and certainly now subscribed. @nothankyou5524 I appreciate the kind words. I only left the redneck pex clamps on a few days but I'd expect them to still be holding but didn't want to risk a flood.
I think you came up with a better way than using a "pex type clamp/ring". Pex tubing is showing "cracking leaks" at the ends of pex tubing as early as 7 yrs (google why). I would think two of these would/could solve or slow down the leak. I've done it with STRONG, SMALL AS POSSIBLE band clamps, every 120 degrees, and have had success, at least so far. I've done it in visible, under the crawl space, to eliminate damage should they leak. I check them about once a month (OK, maybe 2 months) but I started almost a year ago. So far, so good. And I don't have to rely on proper mfg. Gonna try your way ASAP. I'll let you know the initial results and then let's see in about six months. Cracks may or may not appear. That seems to be a different issue. Right now, until I can f figure out the easiest way to replace everything with copper (afford to) , I'm just trying to head off problems. Too many plumbers out there replacing entire systems due to leaks and too many reports on it happening and the reasonS!!! why. Many counties up north, around the Tri State Area do not allow it. I'm in a different craft, now (pretty much) retired in the South, but I was seeing repairs about 8 to 10 years ago, but never a retro fit. Same down here, 10 yrs later when I go help out a neighbor, etc, but these aren't the wealthiest of areas, copper was expensive even yrs ago, and most down where I am, they're pretty much DIY'ers, for a number of reasons. What farmer doesn't figure out how to fix (almost) everything, right. Anyway, I've gone too long, but maybe ive provided some food for thought for people. And I wanted to explain why I am so grateful for you to take the time to post this. At my age, figuring out stuff and helping out people is my biggest pleasure. I think the guy must have genius in his blood. I just saw his pex water heater repair and I think his "outside of the box" thinking is brilliant. And I also left a way too long comment of why, and why it may be of interest. He's gonna be a giant help to me, I already know, and I think he's too effin' humble to YET see what he'd done at the time of that video. @@charlesmaxey9165 O2 sensors are post manifold. Before and after the cat. I didn't have to unplug them. But if you do, them yes you will get an engine light.
@briandeluca6908 yeah I seriously considered it but didn't want to risk having to sand a gloopy top coat. Brushing it on wasn't that bad of a gig with the pole brush.

My husband and I did plywood flooring at our ranch in the country. So many people said we were crazy.. they have been installed seven years ago and they look fantastic. I love the natural wear and tear here and there because it’s a country environment, so it really fits in.
AND, if you use too thick of wire, it creates too much resistance and won't do the job as needed. THOUGH, realistically, you'd have to use something like HEAVY DUTY extension cord gauge wire for that to be a real issue. Going from a 14 to a 12 wouldn't be a thickness difference in the correct direction, or increasing it to a 10 wouldn't greatly affect resistance, either. Edit: I assumed that was the issue. REALLY jerk move on Hunter's part to not include optimal down rods. Since I bought a $200 HUNTER fan, that had the CHEETAH on it and it's not moving ANY AIR and I did use the longer of two down-rods in the box, and NOTHING. SO... will go to lowes and buy a longer one. Will have to do it in the Family Room as well.
I am unsure of the year I have. I believe it is a 1986 from the research I have done. It’s a 125, would the year matter and can I do the opposite you did and put one off a 85 hp on my 125
That might have been quicker, I was following the directions on the can. With all of the hard work i had into it at that point, I didn't want to mess it up.
A genius of a man! Don't see how he ONLY be a self trained engineer, but with or without the Official Mechanical Engineering degree, he's top shelf when it comes to Mech Engineeers, imo!
2 years in. 3 kids 3 dogs. Holding up better than expected. I wish I would of used more glue in some spots. There are a few boards that are loose I need to pry up and re glue.
i just bought all the parts at home depot total cost was $198.36. does not include the fabric that i got a walmart for $6and some change per yard. so its about the sane as buying one online. however if your doing van life or have smaller space needs smaller beds then this is the way to go. i used a hacksaw so it was hard to make a clean cut through but they still worked att the same. great video and great instructions
The price of PVC has increased post Covid, but than again what hasn’t? Awesome for creating the perfect length and height and still remaining light weight. I created a van bed build that straddles the front passenger seat in its fully reclined position using 1-1/4” pvc. This setup has legs on each end, no support leg in the middle. To increase the strength of pvc, I inserted wooden staircase hand rails that fit perfectly inside the 1-1/4” pvc pipe. Just a tip, if you need to strengthen up your pvc a little. I have nearly the exact same wall (same kitchen layout too) and was thinking of different ways to hang my cast iron there. I really like to horizontal boards! What did you use to hang the skillets? Nail, screw, etc? Obviously they are fairly heavy and i dont want them falling onto someone below.
Great video! Looks great! How is it holding up (scratches, dings, etc.)? What kind of wood is the plywood? What is the plywood thickness? How do you keep dirt from getting into the cracks in between the boards? If you spill water or a drink on the floor, how do you prevent the water from seeping in between the cracks between the boards? Won't the water go in between and underneath the boards and ruin your OSB underlayment? Thanks, so much.
That's sanded plywood 1/4 , 3/8 or 15/32 i used 15/32. you don't have to worry about crack or spilled water the urethane takes care of that. Just keep the all the planks EXACTLY the same width and butted tightly together. put at least four thin coats of urethane letting it completely dry between coats. no problems, 2 years and 2 kids spilling everything you can think of.
