Chit-Chatting about all things fragrance related, mostly perfume reviews but no doubt I will update you on the latest fragrant products that I love using for home as well. I upload every weekend and then sometimes during the week if I'm super organised ;) Drop me a line, I would love to hear from you!
You just popped up in my feed and because you were reviewing Ormonde Jayne, one of my all time favourite houses, I had to watch. I am obsessed with the ingredient quality and skillful blending of these fragrances, there is literally no OJ fragrance I do not love. But ... here in Canada they are very pricey so my pocketbook determines the size of my collection. A few that are no-fail compliment getters from my OJ collection are: Evernia (summer scent), Ta'if (any occasion all year 'round), Levant (date night), and Damask (daytime). I love Champaca and it is next on my list. Thank you for your review, always great to get the impression of others😊
To my nose freesias can be very, very indolic. OK in the garden but in the house it can smell like carrion. I completely get evocative swamp description.
Love watching these “old” videos, I really liked seeing your Guerlain bee bottles, I recently picked up a vintage bee bottle of Jardins De Bagatelle, and I’m not getting any top or middle floral notes, it smells only like the musc powdery bottom note, do you think that’s because it’s old or is that just they way it smells?
My 21y old daughter bought it a few weeks ago and I can smell her all day! It is beautiful so I bought it online for myself after repeatedly stealing from her🤭 New subscriber her, love the way you talks about perfumes🩷
De Profundis and Thundra sound right up my alley. I’ll be in Rome in a few days and hope to stop by Profvmvm Roma. Kind of a silly question - when you packed all your perfumes in your suitcase to come back home, is there any special way to do it? Do you just keep them cushioned with your clothes and check your luggage? I hope to do a London trip sometime next year and do some shopping, but I always worry about perfume and traveling. Would love a video about tips when traveling and shopping! Thank you for the wonderful videos and honest opinions.
I just kept them packed in their original boxes - in fact, most of them I didn’t even open while I was still overseas. And then I just packed them tightly in amongst all of my clothes.
If I’m ever travelling with full bottles that aren’t in their boxes, I will just roll them up individually in items of clothing. But I usually travel with decants these days..
Many places! Where do you live? In Australia you can sample and buy them from Libertine parfumerie and I think Peony Melbourne also stocks them. Online there are many many options and Ormonde Jayne also ship internationally :)
Beautiful picnic frangrances for me are: Herbes Troublantes (Guerlain), Après l’Aurore (J’emme), Verano Porteno (Frassaï) and White Jasmin & Mint (Jo Malone) ❤ Cristina
Lovely list Cherie! It always hot 🔥🔥 where I live 🌵 so I honestly just wear what I want now. Especially if I’m just hanging at him or by the pool. Kinda crazy but I do sometimes find that traditionally heavy scents work in the heat too! 😘
It's about 38 degrees C today so any picnic would have to be in the shade (and preferably in the air conditioning). 🤣 I did wear Sunset Hour today and received a compliment by the SA at Sephora...perfect for this heat. I'd love to try Gardenia Antigua, I also love a lot of the Armani Privé fragrances. Cheers, Cherie!
Love your guerlain recommendations . My bedtime scents are YSL Libre, Prada La Femme, ELOR I am Trash, Prada D’Iris, Dustia Spendiris, all scents I purchased but now my daytime tastes are more floral, aquatic or green so these powdery ones have been relegated but so glad I found a “new” use for them 🌙
Your perfume selection is so wholesome and innocent. Could u do a "Depraved and Raunchy Animalic Ambers and Indolic Soliflores For Your Summer Picnic In The Park" next? 🤪
No heatwave in the north west of England. Been mostly rainy and on the cooler side, so sweatshirts and raincoats. Or it might raise a bit in temp, 2 or 3 degrees, to maybe 16°C and then with humidity of up to 90%, so you're sweating in your raincoat! It's not been the best summer but we are lucky not to be frying in the heat like on the continent, so I musn't grumble 🤗
What if I identify as a tree frog? 🤔 Any perfumes for me? 🤣🐸 Seriously I feel like I'm one kiss away from turning into something. A sober person maybe. ☺ Can't argue with Ambre Nuit! Cheers Cherie. ❤
I usually wait until later in the season so that I have a chance to wear the fragrances first and re-acquaint myself with them. Plus I’m doing monthly videos on what I’ve been wearing :)
Yes I'm with you, there's no gender. I wear flowers probably every day. Go Matt discovering new brands 😜. That one does sound nice and fresh. Ambre Nuit 😍 oh yes it's incredible Honour Woman, yes. I think as much as I'm not a fan I do prefer the EDP . Good summer ones tho What would I wear for a summer picnic to the park? Hmm some waterproofs, wellies and a scarf atm 😂. A great fresh summer one is Diors Sakura I think
@@TheTopNote I have a lovely little mini and Lizziebet sent me 30mls from her masseeeve bottle. It is so nice, lovely and lilacy on me. 🤣 Good thinking, a big waterproof tent
Gardenia Antigua sounds wonderful. MFK’s Aqua Celestia is a cool fruity citrus (w/ bergamot,, blackcurrant, Egyptian jasmine, mimosa and musk) that would be great for spring and summer.
I love the Dioriviera, it has been my go to summer perfume and now they have the body lotion and I just purchased it! that is how much I enjoy this scent.
@@TheTopNote - it is a perfect summer lotion. It is thin consistency and it absorbes well into skin. Not greasy at all. It smells exactly like the perfume.
