My mother is like you, she loves to write all the time, and I am going that way, it is definitely better than thinking so much and wasting time on the phone. 🤔
Midori Passport for daily tasks in Tumi small purse, Midori standard for travel in tote bag, Cousin for weekly organization and meeting notes on the dining room table, Jibun Techo for finances (beside Dining Room table as is the)… Hobonichi 5 year for memory keeping and weather documentation Part of the Morning Routine also), Amazon green cover A5 lined notebook for book notes, Esmie 8 x 11 for Morning Pages.
📚 going to start a content log spread in my pocket journal to track my daily read count. Appreciate the other parts of the framework that i can just incorporate into my daily entries. My book first two books will be Thor Heyerdahl's Kon-Tiki and a James Rollins novel that I've been putting off. Also if you fet stuck on content you should share some of your book notes/reviews
I've been enjoying your videos lately. I see you are steeped in Western Christian philosophy and especially the philosophy of the mind. I was curious if you have looked at Orthodox theology/philosophy and our distinction between the heart-mind ("nous") and the rational mind. If not, I could recommend a few authors. Cheers!
Park notes, what is the point of this? At the end the day, you’ll have piles of notebooks which you will hardly reference. Unless you are accumulating all your best information to compile into a notebook that will benefit humanity forever, why are you wasting your energy gathering this information? I agree that journaling can bring about some degree of enlightenment, but you practice gathering information for no other reason besides your fear that your knowledge will wane (assumedly). In that case, why don’t you apply your knowledge to someone useful? Not trying to hate, was just curious
I reference mine everyday... was writing a science fiction story this morning and utilized my philosophy of science notes from my Master's degree courses for details on natural kinds.
@@ParkerNotes I see. But then, that prompts a perhaps even greater question. By writing instead of typing, don’t you fear most of your knowledge will perish? I know you have good insights, but is it really feasible to transfer all that you have written into more accessible mediums like books or lecture notes? Perhaps you gather knowledge for yourself? Or maybe, you are an extremely studious man and find joy in learning about the universe (no disrespect by the way, life’s purpose is to find happiness)? Or do you want to withhold your knowledge for the benefit of your successors (kids, family, friends, etc)? Again, just curious. No disrespect, I love your work.
📕 I’m a self confessed notebook snob. I know you’re a philosopher, but you forgot a sketchbook. They are generally in date order, and even though they’re for sketching, you’ll find they frequently have other important content. I just got a lovely one from Beechmore Books. I love your content! 🧙
27:58 that’s the thing you not following the current thing. He claim no one refuted anything when he was completely wrong, I do not feel sorry for the guy
📔📓📓📓This was definitely an "ah-ha" moment for me. I've been basically doing small books like field notes etc. There is usually a loose theme. Sort of like a commonplace book adjacent thing (I JUST learned about commonplace books from you other video- thanks!) but the compendium is the thing I never did!
Hi man, for me the Pygmalion(Good AI) & Golem(Bad AI) is very good start how to thinking about the history of sentient intelligence, especially in the context of philosophy and ethics. Thanks for your video, get me hope that maybe my deep thinking session is not weird and will be more important for my future understanding in the world of never ending short content video and text.
I have four notebooks 1. My weekly journal/diary that’s more like a monthly journal/diary 2. A mass collection of notebooks where I took notes on the books I read for a planned RU-vid channel that I’ll never get around to making 3. My workout logs that I for some reason like to keep over the years 4. My pocket notebook with everything possible scribble you could imagine Never thought I’d end up being a notebook guy, didn’t set out to be, yet here we are lol
My typical reading speed is about a book a month (2 weeks if it’s one I can’t hardly put down) now if I didn’t have a full time job I could easily read through one a week 😂😂
