I really like this breakdown because now i see how to look at options and mechanics and the cause/effects I didn't realize for some reason that shielding was just a lost cause most of the time also appreciate the related footage very helpful
Dangit. Nice match as always. The Hydro Pump kill on last game Bowser's second stock was really funny. Can't really say "close one" as you know, Bowser only had taken 3% on their last stock, but looking at their second stock, you could definitely take it. Keep up the great work, wish you good luck.
Technically there is a way. Go to Town and City, take your opponent on the central platform and position it on the edge of the platform. When the platform is starting to rise , charge shadow sneak and while charging press down taunt. That should combo. Other than this it's impossible to combo in any way
2:30 - That's the biggest risk with the hydrotrump, if your angle is slightly off you'll headbonk, and right about when your foe snaps to ledge too. Any chance you've found any way of mitigating that, other than just practice?
This is my second channel, where I upload videos that I don't consider to be high effort/long form content. The uploads that I put out on my main channel can take literally hundreds of hours to create, so I'd prefer not to plague it with spontaneous 2 minute videos like this one. It's not that I've stopped uploading there- it's that I'm a perfectionist and it takes FOREVER to put together a single video.

This is actually such an amazing video. Even though I don’t main greninja, a lot of ideas here seem like they could apply to most characters, and the depth and analysis the video went into was extremely comprehensive and well put together. Amazing job man
I need to answer your survey still, but could you possibly do Young Link, Ken, or Bowser Jr. if you plan to make more of these? Especially the “how to escape combos” for YL and Ken. They are some matchups I struggle in.
I was honestly a little surprised too! The Summer of Matchups project was based on the number of responses that I got on a form asking Greninja players for their most problematic matchups. Somehow, Pyra/Mythra only got two responses, keeping them out of the priority list of the top 10 most requested characters.
@@MrApolotion Aegis main here, I know this content is more align with Greninja more than anyone in particular. For Greninja made my Mythra ironically better at finding answers to certain matchups such as Steve and Pikachu due to their similarly fast movement. Now that you’re posting anti-Diddy guides, I’m gonna be eating good. Considering he’s one of the worst matchups for Aegis. I couldn’t find much answers than stealing banana and go for grabs if he’s shielding with it. Can’t express the smirk I have as I see Z drops being added to the mix. I got Link main experience with that, so it’s no problem to beat my bracket demon with this tech.
I found this a month ago aswell when i was practicing movement but i tought it was common knowledge for greninja players, but i was like this seems broken greninja slide very far when i do this!
is "dash walking" when you press a direction and hit the c stick down or away? because if so then mithara sonic roy and others also have amaing "dash walking".
You're correct in that yes, that is the input! While dash walking is applicable for all characters, Mythra actually has a shorter dash walk than Greninja, and Sonic is tied :)
@@MrApolotion Okay gotcha. I thought iwas the only one that knew about that tech. Never knew it was main stream ahahah. it's so good for roy imo. I play greninja for a while after watching you. Loved it dropped him to get back on roy and man the skills that transfer is wild. Every roy main should play greninja first imo. Thanks for the information! :)
I think I saw in a beefysmashdoods video that greninja can't throw wario's bike to the left for some reason, like it just doesn't have a hit box. I haven't tested it or anything, so I don't know how or why it happens. I don't even know for sure if its true, but it's something to watch out for if it is
