Im a 70 yr old man & I must admit I spent days tryin to fix the hose goin iside the fitting and holding & then duct tapeing it inside! I was tryin it again today b4 I quit all pissed off when I reverted to old faithful... You Tube!!! Upon finding Ur vid I told myself how dumb I was for all these years, but then remembered there werent even computers for a big part of my life, never mind You Tube! So I fixed the hose told myself Ive only been dumb for 20 or 30 years & proceeded to have a great day, thanx to you!!! Thanx for helpin out old Mr Fix It (me)...LOL I really appreciate ya!
You're a genius. Tried getting hose to fit back into fitting by turning it clockwise and was getting nowhere. Turning it counter clockwise, it went straight in and held tight. Many thanks.
OMG-was fighting to get in on by turning right which is normally the correct way- was fixing to duct tape then I watched your video- fixed in 10 seconds nice and tight- feel like a dummy for not trying to turn opposite direction- thank you so much
Thank you, sir. i just bought a brand new portable milwaukee vacuum and had it less than a week, and this happened to me, I kept trying to screw it on normally😅 Your video saved me!
mine are only held on with zip ties and broke first use. I used tape lol, all kinds to get it going so I could get the job done. I went and bought a new one, and it did the exact same thing. They have a plastic vinyl stretchy hose, no threads. I tried a clamp like on your dryer vent/hose and tightened it down. I haven't tried it yet. Kinda scared. I was already burned twice, b/c I first bought the cheap HF one and the bag blew out in several spots. No time to patch, so went to lowes for the Craftsman backpack 3n1 but after the bags fell off from the vac hose, I saw the zip ties. What kind of crap is that.
Thanks. I had taped the loose connector. Then viewed this video. Removed the tape and then screwed the connector to the hose with the reverse thread direction.
Excellent! I had just learned this before I viewed your video. Vacuums should have an engraved pic on the side so everyone would know this. Thanks for your help!
Oh my Lord! Thank you! I am so happy I decided to look at youtube before I cut into the hose or taped it up! I am a senior and have dealt with wonky shop vac hoses for decades cleaning houses. Thanks man....
