HI! we are Pammy and Xavi! a couple of nerds hunting for serotonin as we go through the experience of becoming nostalgia enthusiasts! through all kind of things retro things. With a main focus on retro video games. We are both 90s kids that love finding all kind of cool retro things!
Played TP on Wii. I kind of liked the motion controls lol I agree TP felt more like a sequel to OOT than wind walker did. OOT is just such a memory. Is the one I’ve played the most and fully 100% once. I’m making another short for next week on WW that’s based on this exact video lol as I have given it another try dun dun dun(suspense)….
@@pnx_world I think you’ll love it, it has the same formula as the 64 era and TP where it’s story progression alongside new dungeon/new items, can’t wait to see if you like it!
Yea I know what you mean. Yard/Garage sales been pretty slow over here as well. Last weekend was the first time I for anything at a yard sale lol. Keep up with the videos
Thanks for the kind words we are definitely doing our best to try and put out videos every week. Yes it’s been hard the past few months but thankfully we have always diversify how we source/hunt for things To keep the hunt going. We still try to look for the few garage sales that pop up to see if there is anything interesting.
Hey thanks so much! Yea Pokemon was both our favorite childhood games. We both kind of drifted apart from the franchise after gen 1 but we came back into it with Pokemon go and gen 8. We got hooked to the shiny hunt lol
lol I fumbled words a lot hahaha yea Pammy is keeping some of the record same for her brother and then we are selling the rest get some funds for the collection. Thanks so much for the support man! 🤘
It was really fun we are having convention withdrawal symptoms hehe we have dragon con coming to us in a month but we are thinking about what other con we can go to before the end of the year. We are definitely planning on going to SEGE next year if you see us don’t hesitate to say hi!
yea it sucked but honestly if that's the price we pay for getting a better computer to work/edit on ill be ok with that, you know aside from the actual price we payed in dollars lol. at least we the lighthearted moment in the vid made up for losing those clips. thanks for the sub and the kind words we appreciate it more than you guys know!
@isaacpimentel6482 to be fair we kind of all nerds/geeks here lol video game nerds, Pokemon nerds, retro game nerds, its a long list lol just a big happy geek/nerd party
HEY! thanks so much! we appreciate it so so much. picking preacher is easily our newest favorite YT/retro game content creator super funny dude. we absolutely loved SEGE and can't wait to go to our next Retro Con.
@@TheRushmoreShow oh 100% we checked you guys' channel. I don't mind a new podcast to put on they are great for when you are editing/working. and you guys are talking about a bunch of retro stuff. plus who doesn't like to reminisce over discontinued snacks! reminded me so much how I still miss squeez its.
Thanks! Oh boy yes it is! Specially if you are looking for really good condition games. Even loose games are pricey. We aren’t far from completing the next gen. The one that might take a little longer is the ds/3ds one since those we are shooting to get CIB from the start. Thanks so much for watching we appreciate it!
@@pnx_world of course! Take your time on the Pokémon set, they will come if you’re set on it, it’s only a matter of time! One at a time and they help keep you towards a goal as a collector
@@pnx_world I recently finished my set, the mrs helped me track down fire red and leaf green and those were my last ones, it’s been like 10 years on my end haha
@@isaacpimentel6482 we are missing ruby and leaf green for the GBA. Then both moon/ultra moon and sun. Black and white, Black 2, pearl and diamond, heart gold and soul silver, and platinum. Oh and then let’s go eevee and shield( we only have digital of that one) at least for main series games. We might eventually go for the none main series. Or if we find them for a good deal in the wild. In about 4 months we’ve managed to grow the collection at a decent pase once we started to collect more actively.
Dude I knew that spidey had to be brought back to full CIB live. Love spidey! that pikachu shirt helps during hunts people always point out when they got Pokemon stuff. We were bummed about the videos but at least editing on the new computer has been such a breeze. So silver linings! Hehe thanks for the love we truly appreciate it.
💯 agree with this perspective! There is no wrong way at all to collect or enjoy the hobby. As long as you are not living beyond your means or causing problems for yourself than do it the way you want to do it as long as you are enjoying yourself. 🍻🤙🏻
Yea early on when we got into this more actively I kept seeing people almost trying to tell other people where they should buy or how they should buy. The condition of the item or things like that things that seem highly subjective and relative. It be like me trying to tell people they should collect Pokemon games and only CIB. when they don’t like them and the games are so expensive! We are definitely collecting them and we do have some CIB ones but in the end this is everyone’s journey. Any similarities in those journeys are just happy accidents
Great video and great pickups! I had a blast at SEGE and it looks like you did too! If that sealed Rocket Power game is nostalgic for you I would keep it sealed and display it. I think you both won the challenge because you both got what you wanted. 👌🏼 Now I remember seeing you guys! I was in the back at Mort’s panel and remember Pammy answering the Wrestling question. Nice! Mort is one of the best. Yoshi’s Story was a fun little play through. Enjoy It! For me the camera absolutely killed my experience with Super Mario Sunshine. I may have to give it another go and see if time has changed that perspective. 🤷♂️ Hope to see you at another con sometime in the future. 🍻🤙🏻
Hey thanks so much for the kind words! We lived SEGE. Now we are thinking on the next! It’s so much fun! Dude the camera is definitely something that takes some time to get use to. It’s a little bit better in windward but for some reason on Mario sunshine is a bit worst. It honestly I am getting into it as an older wiser person I guess lol yes we will be on the look out. We actually want to maybe plan better next time so we can set aside time on just hanging out and talking to people a bit more. It’s the one thing we wish we would’ve done more
@@pnx_world I have only been to a few conventions so far but I do feel like it’s easy to get overwhelmed at them. There is so much stuff to do and hunt for and you easily run out of time and energy quick. I think both of those run out before the money even does. 🤣 I am totally looking forward to next year at SEGE already and am definitely going to try and get to a few other national conventions too. Hope to see you guys at one or two. 🤙🏻
@DrinkGameswithJosh 💯 we all run at different energy and emotional gas tanks. Pammy was running on fumes while I could’ve maybe gone a little more lol but in the end super spent still. Yes we are planing on going to dragon con but maybe I want to see if we cna go to retro ricks one. For sure we gotta make a list of not just games but to hunt for the people in the community hehe
Oh no! We are glad you get to enjoy it through us at least. Where I (Xavi) am from we don’t get stuff like this either. If you can ever travel to one somehow I would definitely suggest it! Maybe plan a whole trip around one to.
It was so much fun And we still missed some things lol there is a lot to do at this cons! Can’t wait for the next, thanks for watching we appreciate it!
OMG that is you! That’s so awesome! We’ve been trying to find ourselves in other people’s videos to! It was so packed with people. We had so much fun as well can wait to go to another one. We totally remember seeing you there! Maybe we get to see you on the next one to!!
Pammy fell in love with animal crossing this past game now wants to play the older ones. I’ve been a Zelda fans since before I ever played a Zelda game hehe. Thanks for watching we appreciate you being here!
Hey that’s awesome! lol I sat on the vip sits by mistake for a sec Pammy had to point the sign to me lol it was a great panel and a great con hopefully you had a lot of fun to!
Surprised to see the cost of used games in the US these days! 😨 If coming to Japan you could fill a suitcase with games and end up saving enough to cover the cost of the flight and hotel 🤣
Yea in general US versions are priced higher there is high demand for it and very limited supply. Keep in mind the supply is spread across all of the americas to. If we ever go to Japan we are not only filling our suitcases with video games but a bunch of other anime and Pokemon related goodies!! Hehe Japan is at the top of our list of places to visit!
Thanks so much! We did had so much fun! We kind of wish we could’ve gone that second day, but we will be better prepared for the next con we attend it’s a very fun learning experience
Thanks so much for the kind words! Love the SNES was my (xavis) first console I ever got. Maybe we’ll have to aim for that megaman X3 so expensive though lol would be crazy to find one in a garage sale
I've been interested in The Legendary Starfy for a while. I heard it's similar to Kirby, and I love the Kirby games. I know there was a whole series of Starfy games on the Game Boy Advance exclusive to Japan prior to when the DS one was released and was sadly the final game as of now. I've also been into collecting Japanese exclusive games for the Game Boy Advance and DS since they're region free. I use these to help myself learn the language since Japan gets so many amazing things we don't have.
Well Pammy swears by it that it’s a fun game! She played it with her brother and the night before SEGE she was trying to figured out what game it was we looked so hard for it at the con. Thanks for the fun and interesting facts! We’ve try duolingo for Japanese but we also want to visit Japan so bad if we ever go we are definitely buying some Japanese games and I bet legendary starfy will be one of them
@@pnx_world I've been studying Japanese for 10 years now, and I have gotten to a point where I can at least watch Japanese shorts for younger viewers (like Shimajiro and Obake Q-taro) and understand most of what's being said.
Oh not a good outlook for us lol yea it does seem like a decently enough complex language I’ve thought about some form of formal learning to maybe help move it along faster
Bro, I’m so happy that you two had such a great time at SEGE and while I wasn’t able to make it, I’m still glad that you two got some awesome games for your collection. Mega Man X2 and Yoshi’s Island I actually have CiB as I’m going for a complete Super NES set. Both games are awesome especially Yoshi’s Island as it’s so good. Also This was such an awesome video on SEGE. Keep up the great work. Also I just subscribed to your channel.
Thanks so much for the kind words means so much to us! we appreciate you being here! Also CIB SNES collection sounds awesome! We need ti find the manual online for that Adam’s family game. Hopefully eventually we can upgrade some loose games into CIB it’s definitely a journey! SEGE was great now we are thinking about our next expo and figured out how to go! Also love the username we are Pokemon fans to hehe
Appreciate ya!! we gotta go visit My (Xavi's) brother in Cali so we can hit those amazing swap meets/flea markets you all got over there! you guys be hitting some sweet finds sometimes!
Hehe I’m looking a little focused. There are so many games to try. Games I never beat. games I wanted to try and couldn’t. So many opportunities! Can’t leave until we defeat all the final bosses!
Buying at reasonable pricing is more fun than selling, can’t easily cope with selling. But I do like buying and feeling secure that at least what I did spend good money on is either worth it for the deal or something I like to keep.
Yea selling has been an eye opener of an experience. I totally understand why you see some collectors passing off their collection to resellers for a percentage of the value just so they don’t have to deal with the hassle of selling it themselves. I enjoy it to an extent if I’m being honest lol I do love seeing the reviews of people being exited they got something and added it to their collection. Thanks for being here and commenting! We appreciate it!
I honestly saw that game on the listing and ran for that game alone. Star Wars racers is a cool pick to. I figured I could at least make some if not all my money back and gets some games for cheap or free!
Unlike money when it comes to stardust I just don’t use it. Day one players. If it was t for those power up your Pokemon tasks in special research I probably would have more. I actually haven’t gained much either since we don’t plays as hardcore as we use to mostly community days nowadays. So this is old grinding results. If you don’t use it you’ll end up with a lot
@@pnx_worldI believe they are calling you a noob for not knowing the 100% iv cp for poiple. I do not see how this makes you a “noob”, especially given the fact that you had 18 MILLION stardust in this clip
@@BozoTheMonke I thought so but no definitely not a noob. We are day one players. Sure we have taken breaks here and there. But I rarely bother trying to find out the 100iv CP of special research stuff I can just appraise it. I find way more useful to know raid IVs since it might affect how much effort I put into catching the pokemon and you’ll likely be doing a lot of them.
@@BozoTheMonkefor some reason I thought your pfp was a girls but cuz each vid I see and the in the comments there are bots that has a link to send you to something dumb
