@@IntentionallyBethany good to hear it’s nice to see that you haven’t given up I’ve been going through hard times myself and no joke your channel has helped me and I just found out about it a couple of days ago! And hearing these news is even better
I've only just started watching your videos and I just had to subscribe. Your videos are short, to the point and with lots of ideas. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful tips for an efficient lifestyle! I will be watching more. Keep on inspiring us. You're doing a great job! ❤❤❤
Thank you for the motivation, I know it's an older video, but I was wondering if the clothes you were about to put in that bag in the preview at 0:20 (that finaly wasn't part of the video 🥲) where clothes to toss or to donate ? I just struggle so much to toss ''nicer'' things like old clothes that can't be donated or magazines, clothes stores catalogues/flyers that I always hope someone will film while tossing few of those things in a declutter video and not just show piles as I personally just put those things in clean bag that will stay forever in my garage instead of mixing them right away with normal trash so I have no other choice to dump the bags haha I hope that if you need to go through those items you'll film while discarding stuff and maybe even dump the bags haha even just in regular cleaning video I love when people film while taking out the trash as it feel more fresh after and I also try to find something I struggle to toss in those moments 😅
Thank you for the feedback! I’m about to start filming again here soon. Those are wonderful suggestions. I definitely donate nicer items. If I don’t love them, I donate to someone who will! My new rule of thumb when buying is, if I don’t absolutely love it. I don’t buy it. However when shopping online it’s trickier bc when the items arrive they often look different 🙃😂
@@IntentionallyBethany Thank you, I personally don't struggle too much to donate things as it feels great afterwards. I mostly stuggle to discard nicer things that can't be donated like worn out clothes and some catalogues/magazines. So I hope you'll have some of those to go through 😇
Hey! RU-vid recommended me this video on my feed and its really well presented! Kudos to the work that you're doing 😊 Actually I had some thoughts to share about your youtube channel on your mail! but I'm not really sure if it is the best time?
That looks very nicely organized but is that really all the books your children have? Or do you have a bookshelf somewhere? I know in my family we have lots of books we read or reference every week.
We don't have a television in our upstairs main entry living room, now we do have our desktop computer and printer in there on a nice desk. We do most of our TV watching in the kitchen, that's where the food and drink is. Now in our downstairs living room we have a larger television that rarely gets watched except for "movie nights" and we will have popcorn drinks and theater size boxes of sweets but we also have a small trashcan that at end of movie either bag is changed out and goes upstairs to the kitchen trashcan and the blankets get folded and pillows put away. Our youngest son finally found the benefits of keeping his pigstye cleaned halfway through his senior year.
I taught my kids how to do their own laundry as soon as they could reach the buttons. The youngest swears I got him a stool. Both my boys told me they were the only ones in their dorms who knew how to do laundry; the others had to pay girls to do it or take it home to mom.
Nina, thanks so much for checking in. 😊 I’m actually doing pretty well! I had a rough patch and am coming out of it. I plan to be back on RU-vid this summer. Trying to come up with some great video ideas.
Thanks Bethany! Loved your video! The video angles wow! And editing that needed to be done! Nice work. I just completed my 30 day MM. Working on the get up before everyone else part still.. but I definitely feel more accomplished.
Wow this is exactly what my heart is yearning for and the journey I'm on currently! Its crazy how against the cultural grain it feels but how soul fullfilling it feels!!! 🤍
I would never get rid of some of those items of great sentimental value, even if I never wear them.. and I am also a minimalist...I have learned from past mistakes when I got the urge to purge, and those things can't be recuperated again...especially in the case of a few little pieces of jewelry that don't take up room or bother anyone. Keepsakes are kept for the sake of something or someone...I have a few trinkets that belonged to my parents, grandparents and that, Lord willing, I can someday pass on. Don't get me wrong, I've seen plenty of videos of big hoards of stuff that people's kids don't want and that only create problems for them! But sometimes I get the feeling that all this minimalism-which I also love- if taken too far may cause some regrets farther down the road.
I love this perspective! There’s much wisdom there! So a little update…after making this video I let those items sit for 2 months and didn’t miss anything except for my wedding sentimentals. So I actually kept them bc they aren’t taking up any space. Thanks so much for watching and your kind words! 🤗
I'm a your 1,000th subscriber. Conggratulation you had 1000 subscribers. You can get some money from youtube company! Honestly I also want to have 1000 subscribers.
I was using the KonMarie method which can definitely be overwhelming but helped me see everything out of it’s home. Now that I’ve decluttered another 2x since this video I do exactly what you recommended. 😃
OTT and fake crap at the beginning! If put two tiny thin pairs of flip flops on a huge shelf no bloody wonder you don't have space! use the space provided by folding on to those shelves! why all the acting and staging! BS!
This was a very helpful video! I appreciate that you did NOT discuss in depth e v e r y s i n g l e item that you kept or purged. I am currently chipping away at my jewelry collection to make it more manageable, and this was motivational.
Dirty shoes on the bed ... yuck! why hang camisole tops or t shirts? they take up space that items such as blouses/shirts, dresses, skirts, smart trousers and jackets need, fold or better still roll them on to shelves or into drawers or storage baskets/bins
I know, shoes are never allowed on the bed unless filming 😂 I like to hang my camisoles and tshirts up so I can see what I have. And since I have so little it doesn’t take up much room. I own a total of 4 dresses, no blouses or trousers. My items don’t need rolled bc I have lots of extra room with so little wardrobe. But those are excellent tips for those who may have more! Thanks for watching and commenting 😃
@@IntentionallyBethany Even as i look at your wardrobe i could see that you could fold the items i said and still see them and hang the rest of the items as that way you can use the back part of the hanging rail for items you are not using seasonally, that back part isn't as easy to see which is why i mentioned it x
You could also always ask yourself if you would buy this item for the double price, that always helps me decide what I really want and what not, yust imagine a much higher price on the tag 😂😅 also I am very proud, I yust bought one pair of shoes on 3 years 🙈😅 I usually always wear black / grey converse and Adidas so there is no point in getting other shoes I never wear 😅
OMG I’m in tears with you 😢 this video just came across my feed but I’m glad it did. You did SO well with the declutter and inspired me… I lost my mom in 2020 and kept items of hers that I never washed just so I can smell her 😭😭😭 it takes time but the grief does lift just a little❤
Awwww….I’m so happy this inspired you. 🤗 I’m so sorry about your mother. 😢 I love that you don’t wash her items. I wouldn’t either! Thanks for the encouragement about the grief. Going on 3 months and it is so hard…
