You literally have two fast and furious movies and two MCU movies that are in the $70 million to $100 million opening day range. So please tell me what record supposedly has this movie broken already? You're a liar or highly misinformed by piss poor research. I'm a Beetlejuice fan myself but there's no reason to go overboard.

The price of going to a theater has skyrocketed. Do a currency conversion to pre pandemic theater costs and check the numbers. Also... no gives a quarter of a F#ck about taylor Swift. The fans drove the success of this movie.
For as much s*** as Hollywood and the producers get, they have every right to be upset. That is an incredibly unprofessional thing to do. There is a whole cast and crew who depend on that income to pay their bills, but just Phoenix pulls out. Why? You don't like it somedays? Cry me a river. It's a job. Suck it up, take your million dollar pay cheque and go to work.
Do you know why he dropped out ? Do you have any context ? And also, for you (and everyone else with this b reel take) : this movie wouldn’t exist without Phoenix. He brought Haynes and the producers the script, and his star power was a major factor in the movie getting off the ground in the first place: he has every right to leave, without him the movie doesn’t exist and those people don’t get paid for that job in the first place. (And don’t sit here and tell me they all would have had work if not for this movie cuz we both know that’s not true) So it uprooted and offset some folks for a hot minute… big woop. he’ll pay an out of court settlement to those who feel they deserve it enough to take him to court and that’ll be that and we’ll all forget this even happened. Point is: Phoenix has never done anything like this before- does that not tell you there was probably a good reason he did it? If a woman in Hollywood drops out of a movie because they’re uncomfortable, everyone worries for the person and worries about what might have happened… if a man does it, people talk shit…unbelievable…
I think this is gonna benefit Joker 2 even more. Just like Joker, he is creating chaos in the system and due to this people will relate him more to the character I will not be surprised if later it turns out to be just a stunt. Most of the time negative marketing attracts more eyeballs and curiousity
