Could it be that the site was buried by the cataclysm rather than by the inhabitants? The man power to bury it would have been an enormous undertaking. The knowledge, technology and anything else worth preserving could be done in the underground facility.

It's soooo cool I've been there several times right on the Arkansas River you can't even hear from the site itself & the Locks for the cargo boats next door to the site.
Yes! And it makes me wonder about the Carolina bays and the scientific triangulation of their origin source. Since no meteors have been found in any of the bays (impact craters) I wonder if they were ice that flew that far and simply melted. Been there many times over the last 50+ years. It was originally called Mystery Hill, now called America’s Stonehenge.There is nice store with artifacts there now. A ‘dig’ area for kids to sift for artifacts. The present owner’s son discovered a very interesting link between our Stonehenge and the more famous one in England. Standing in the very center of the sight (there is a small covered pavilion there now) and facing in the direction of the summer solstice rock, you can draw a straight line eastward that passes across the Atlantic, over Nova Scotia and RIGHT THROUGH a Trilon and passes over the exact center of England’s Stonehenge! Coincidence? Seems unlikely to me.

The princess did not crumble to dust in the museum. Her remains were returned to the site sometime in the 70s as a result of growing awareness of the importance of sensitivity towards native american culture and remains.
I find it sightly concerning that a number of Wiscosinites who grew up relatively near by claim they've never heard of this since it IS a state park AND it is clearly marked as a state park all the way out on I-94. It's not a secret. I now live about 2 miles away in Lake Mills but I've been familiar with it since I was a kid and I grew up in Milwaukee and Ft. Worth, Texas.
the long lines follow the rio grande all the way to where it ends by the ocean. some of these lines also contain spirals. you can only see them on the tab that adjusts the satellite from former years. near there is a another mandela just like the main one but it's barely visible.
A few of the larger middens in the Penobscot bay/river were used by the “the red paint people” red ochre, 7-8000 years ago. Seafaring people’s from nobody knows where… found really nice polished stone wood gouges for building boats, a technology that the Micmac and Penobscots did not use.
