Just bought these tires for my truck and no issues from 0-110km/h. Soon as you get over that speed, the vibration is so bad you can’t do it for more than a few seconds to pass someone. Not sure if you or anyone else experienced it with these tires. No shakes in the steering wheel, just a crazy vibration you can feel through your spine

hmm... just charging the 12v battery doesn't do much and can be done w/ a simple dashboard solar cell, doesn't need anything on the roof. it may be overkill, but you could get a small battery backup like a jackery or ecoflow river or delta 2 or river 2. charge that from as many panels as you can fit on the roof, then plug that battery into your car's AC charger. (run the cables through a cracked back window?) that would get you a few miles a day.

I offer this option: 1. Compose the solar panels yourself from the elements of SunPower Maxeon 3. You can assemble them a few pieces (as it is convenient to place on the roof) and connect in series. Each element gives 0.6V. Thus, you can calculate and fit the total number of cells for the required voltage. These cells can be cut, they are also already sold by cut 1/2, 1/3 of the part. those. In this way, it is possible to increase the voltage by connecting these parts sequentially on the same area compared to a solid cell. For example 1 cell issues 0.6V. If it is cut into three parts and connect it sequentially, it will already be 1.8V. The power will remain the same in terms of the size of one cell. Those. 1 whole cell gives 0.6V and 3.0W, the same cell is cut into 3 parts and these parts are connected sequentially from1,8V and 3.0W. The current strength through the cell will be less, there will be less heating, you can use thinner wires and less losses will be. Whole and cut 1/2, 1/3 cells are sold on aliexpress. In total, whole cells will need about 150 it will turn out to be a voltage of 90V, if you take 1/2, then they need 300 voltage will be 180V, if you take 1/3, then they need 450 voltage will be 270V. If you need more voltage, then you can cut integral to 4 parts. 2. On the back door of the trunk, make the spoiler in full width to the extreme point of the total length of the car behind. those. Thus lengthening the roof behind and place part of the elements on it. If I correctly calculated the maximum area of the panel, which will fit on the roof will be approximately 2.5m^2. Its maximum power will be approximately 500W. Of course, it is better to connect it to the main battery on 320V. On a summer day, on average, you can receive 2.3 kW of energy. For about 5 days, only from this panel you can receive the charge of the main battery for approximately 100 km mileage.

Perfect for life here in Hawai'i! Some of my neighbours have i-MiEVs. I'm so jealous. I myself could easily run every gadget in my house off of a few solar panels and a battery. As it stands now...I just rock a few pedal bikes and no motor vehicle. However, if I owned an e-bike, I would DEFINITELY use the heck out of your system here. Do you know if you could...in a very handy and SIMPLE way...route the wires from your car's panel and controller to...say...an e-bike parked next to it? You might gain an additional measure of utility in my hare-brained scenario. All the best on your solar efforts. Aloha!

Yes, a solar panel mounted roof can work for a lot of people, just not EVs! It's been a great ride so far! I love it, although I would love to get a Polestar 2 for my next ride! My system is not finished yet, we are trying out a few things before tucking them away, its not a hard job to do, just want to tweak a few things before we make it all tidy and what not! You might be able to get an aftermarket controller like a MPPT that can get you your desired hook up, that I am not sure of, but there are a lot of options out there, especially on Amazon! Let me know what you find, I will keep you updated on how mine progresses and if I find anything that may suit your application as well! Thanks for watching!

@@corradettimotorsports360 On the heels of your EV/solar panel adventure comes that new video from "Drew Builds Stuff." I was wondering how the RCMP didn't just swoop down on this intriguing yet very bare-bones experiment on charging EVs from solar. As a cyclist...and soon-to-be e-bike cyclist...I believe YOUR setup already succeeds! Drew's take on it seems to be that some EVs should revert to being ol' Henry Ford's Quadracycle of a hundred years ago. For good or ill...I believe safety regulators will throw their weight around and try to crush 4-wheeled "bicycles" such as Drew's. Sometimes, all one wants is a simple, little transportation device. Then, "The Man" steps in... That's bureaucracy for you... There's so much for us all to learn! I'm enjoying YOUR i-MiEV content, and I hope you want to make more! Aloha!

Even though we do get snow & ice sometimes, we don't really need to do snow tires or anything like you need to do in Edmonton. Heated seats aren't needed, so it's not on the base model. No foglights on the base model, but I could get them installed easily if I wanted, as there is a spot and wiring for them. But I never use the foglights on my Honda Fit. It can do 65-70mph easily, and still get great mileage. This is the only car today that is truly made for the customer. I don't like that in the US, the base model Mirage has forward collision mitigation added on. I have to turn it off every time I start the car up, and that stupid camera is on the windshield.

Cars like the Mirage never gets any love from the Press, but the vast majority of owners love them for what they are, simple back to basic transportation that does not pretend to be anything else, good value for money with excellent reliability and durability! Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more Mirage Content! :)

That’s interesting I have the ES model as well & mine doesn’t turn on by itself when I start the car. What is a bit annoying is the radio turns on every time.

@@yamil.343 My forward collision doesn't turn off by itself either. I have to turn it off every time by holding the button for a few seconds. My radio or USB also starts playing on startup, but that doesn't bother me as much. I usually have something playing.

I have a 23 Mirage G4 ES and I love it. Comfortable ride, good leg room in the back and a great trunk. Gas milage and easy diy maintenance. As for lack of power, I drive accordingly. I remember the VW Bug was worse. 😊

i liked the G4 as well! but here in Canada they discontinued it around the 2020/21 model year, sticking only with the Hatch Back Version! Thanks for watching and letting me know your thoughts!
