To kick things off I'm jumpin straight onto an Ecomobl Telum BA 2-IN-1 4WD electric mountainboard. This board is an absolute beast and I aim to master it.
Come on a journey with me as I push this board and myself to the limit and then some.
Iv'e hit 40km/hr on the road but have recorded 39km/hr on video with my controller speed overlayed on the video. It's called Speed Check. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z9gwiHgs_g4.html
Yeah it feels bigger than it looks lol. I've only tried getting air on a few rides so you know, gotta start somewhere. It's a heavy board too, 30kg. Heel straps will help as well. I've got some but haven't got around to putting them on yet. Also good too have memories/comparisons to look back on as the journey continues...
Sand and salt water are brutal on components. Once of the worst environments for bearings, gears, belts and bushings. How did the board hold up? Have you see rust showing up on bearings?
I've ridden this board on the beach several times over the last couple of months . Also ridden dusty bush tracks heaps. The board is holding up very well so far. There are no visible signs of rust or corrosion. The gear drive is still performing as per normal. I am planning to do a full strip down and clean of the board in the next couple of weeks which will include cleaning and greasing the gear drive. I will do a video to show what I find.
