For London Players: I recommend starting with e3 and learning the variation where you trade your rook and knight for their queen. An example line is 1. d4 Nf6 2. Bf4 c5 3. e3 Qb6 4. Nc3 Qxb2 5. Nb5 Nd5 6. a3 a6 7. Rb1 Qa2 8. Qc1 axb5 9. Ra1 Qxa1 10. Qxa1
Reminds me of a variation of the Vulture (delayed) by Stefan Bucker with a Polish twist. Thanks for the info. There's a few players in my club that play the London their predictability to that system is quite funny when I play the Dutch with e6 first and do a hybrid stonewall/Leningrad formation. That usually makes them self destruct as they are so used to seeing a black pawn at d5. It is a pity that most London players base a lot of their wins on the exploitation of the Bf4 Nc3-Nb5 attack of c7. A quick a6 or c6 negates that maneuver but at the cost of tempi and bit of a bind on the queenside. I will give the delayed Vulture/Benko setup a shot. Thanks.
this is actually my main move against the london because in the london white usually has a very safe advantage (if black plays to win material he gets mated) and in this variation neither player's advantages are safe
Player who at first seems to know what they are doing but soon shows their tactical skill is below 1200. When an ordinary club player plays the London just sit back, relax and wait for them to blunder.
Against 1 Nf6, most definitely. Jobava positions are so much more fun to play against Nf6 with e4 looming and the Pirc transpositions, not to mention c5 is risky in the Jobava
I don't study theory but this is essentially how I like to play against the London, though typically I like to keep the tension in the center and expand on the Queenside.
@@the_craps2787 no that's because I actually study London theory. Those are probably just playing the same pyramid every game, but for me I have a huge study on lichess against different setups
XD that _fuck me_ at 1:06:02 took me by surprise and yet was so fitting at the same time that I did laugh haha im a mere 300 and made a mistake of trying this mission on hard for the first time... somehow it's quite comforting that 1900 guy struggles with that - now I have no shame to try it on easy! great played and very enjoyable to watch, my regards
Yoo Im a fellow diamond myself, been looking for good teammates, I would very much like to play rank with you guys. Been stuck in diamond for quite a while, playing with randoms is a pain.
It's a modded mission in the Forged Alliance Forever mod. I'd recommend checking the whole thing out because it's got about 1000 consistent players with a lobby browser and ladder matchmaking.
Literaly speaking if you like SC but you do not play using FAF you are doing it wrong. It balances some things and the 1VS1 ladder is lots of fun. Though you will feel miniscule at first probably. Playing against normal mode computer is easy. Try a decent player. I barely remember my first games. I just remember spanking I got. Still got marks on my a... If you want to train for 1VS1 ladder there is a way to do it. Skirmish agains an AI and beat it ASAP. If you get below 7 minutes add a second one. Then a third. I think beating 3 AI in under 10mins is a good indicator you can try ladder.
