Hey man, I love your videos. I just bought a golf cart and I keep getting ripped off by shops that haven’t fixed anything and I’m looking to do a motor swap but I’m in Southern California. Do you have anybody you would recommend?
Bruh! I couldn't figure out what the hell was going on with my car😂😂. Did OBDc9des, and the only condes that pop up was: cam/Frank positions.. but i went through: alternators, checking fuses, etc... Then while going through some of the channels, i seen the o es about timing Chains.. lo and behold, that's what the issue was. So this week I'll changes the Chaín and assesories.. these videos are a God Sent bruh! Thank you for sharing your videos! God bless you and yours my friend👍🏾💯🇺🇸🙏🏾
I have been cooking with it regularly and it works well and only issues is the door is a little small I would buy it again. I went into a little review on the previous video.
Are you new to flying the Pacer in this video? Do you have a working stall warning horn? I was use to the Tripacer thought short/soft field landings would be shorter in a Pacer. However it has been a long time for me flying one.
Thank you. It does have steel mains already. I will likely be buying this plane in the next few weeks. It is a friend selling it. I enjoyed your videos. I’d like to call on you in the future if you’re open to it. Thank you!
Man come alive I fell asleep waiting to find out what the frigg you did.. I have rebuilt diesel engines with my eyes closed but so confused listening to you ramble on 😂🤪
I’m a 2000 hr commercial pilot but my first plane was Challenger II clip wing. I’m buying a Kolb mat III and having a little trouble nailing my landing. First landing I pulled the power 4’ off the ground where I normally would in the flare. It stalled and bent the right main and tail wheel. Are you final at 50 with a little power? What power setting are you typically touching down with?
What I found is holding a little power will help and fly it to touch down then cut the power I also fly it to touch down when it is windy. So I don’t think you really need to flare much just enough to parallel the ground and not smack on touch down. A lot of times on long runways I would just fly right over the runway until it feels right and then let it settle down to the runway. If you have aluminum gear legs swap them for the steel legs. I haven’t had this plane in a few years but yes 50 seems about right. I would around +5 above stall with a little power. With this one I found that when you cut power it is like putting the brakes on really have to trim the nose down to maintain good air speed.
I ordered a timing chain kit off ebay because it stated it would work on a 2011 LAF and 2013 LEA ecotech. I was replaceing the 2011 engine in my Buick regal cxl with an engine from a 2013 Verano. I wanted to service the used engine timing components before installation. I went to the local scrap lot and retreived a cam and throttle body from another 2011 2.4 regal to save time on the swap. when I compared the cam from the 2011 and 2013 they looked identical ! I swapped out the old phasers with the new ones and the cam from the scrap yard Buick along with the new timing guides and tensioners. The engine would not start and was running a code about cam and crank improperly timed ! What I did was retimed the old engine with it being out with the undamaged timing parts I removed from the Verano. It revealed the exhaust cam in the serviced Verano engine was 180 degrees off. I checked the phaser part numbers from the old phasers from the Verano engine and found them both identical . Last 3 numbers were 505. Since the phasers were in good condition I replaced the new ones with the old and the engine ran perfectly.I checked the dowel locations on the new phasers and one is 180 off as opposed to the other. The kit stated that it would work on this 2013 LEA motor. These phasers are only colored blue and black with no intake or exhaust written on them. My advice would be to note the location of the lobes of the cam and the dowell locations of the phasers and try not to move the cam from its TDC ! If you have to turn a cam 180 degrees to make a phaser align you are trying to install the wrong part ! KEEP THE CAMS IN TIME !Hope this helps someone else .P.S. I thought Id better add for those people wondering I did turn the engine over manually 3 times to check for interference and even cranked it over with a 180 out exhaust cam and had no piston to valve contact ! Reason unknown.
Completed this repair over the weekend. One thing I would recommend is using a 60w soldering iron. I originally bought a kit with a 30w from Walmart and was having no luck getting the solder to stay on my copper. Went and got a 60w and finished both lights in a matter of minutes.
MTrunk thanks for the clear vid, made me look different at BBQ. Mechanics, materials and the PH of ashes wich will corrode metals after time. After 5yr of abuse in rainy outdoor conditions my $180 Kettle BBQ gave up, rusted. After seeing many nice dishes on MB grill and smoker, is this the jack of all trades I was looking for? My final check was a search on 'rusted'. Rust Holes in the side, bended sides? To be fixed with after market 'bandage' mods or replacement parts. Reading @ericpearson3460 that the new ones are stainless steel, still wondering how long it will hold up.Cant find on their website how long they will provide spare parts (eosl). Futher more The Middleby Corporation (MIDD) has bought in 2021 the companies Masterbuilt and Kamado Joe. And reading their replacement are also bad quality. The whole idea was to go away from DIY and temp managment, but hey checking on temps is way better then becoming a part time mechanic.
This exactly what i was looking for!! I have the same exact spreader as you, and i have a zero turn mower, which makes it hard to reach the lever. I was thinking about how to design what you already have. I am ordering the parts right now, and this setup is going to answer all my prayers for this! Did the actuator come with the mounting plate, or did you have to fab one up! Awesome video, bro!! Thank you!! 👍🏿
I did an EGR delete and capped the "Y" up pipe with a plate. Well....I just blew out the "Y" exhaust up-pipe after hauling my 40' race trailer full of tools over 600 miles. Time to replace the up-pipe. GREAT LEARNING VIDEO!! THANKS!!
You can take a wrap around tape stretching over the end cap and draw an arc along the widest diameter in the center do this several times should give the center X
Lol. I'm working on one noe. I was doing wheel axle seals. Had to cut off one wheel. When putting back together I crossed the wheels. Forgot that they are directional. I think that the ones in this video are on the wrong sides.
Not sure if the 2017 Acadia Denali already has an AGM battery, but I was considering upgrading to one. Is this just as easy as swapping out the old (possibly OEM) with an AGM?
This video was a lifesaver. My wife’s car battery was virtually dead and yes, the Acadia’s battery looks like it was intentionally designed to deter people from replacing it themselves, but your video helped me do it from start to finish without any issues. Autozone was scared to even attempt it. Thank you!
Judging by the number of comments Acadia is single handedly keeping the replacement battery industry in business. Great design work there engineers. You should be proud 🙄. Rube Goldberg comes to mind.
Ok I can find TDC, but how do I find if it’s on compression Or exhaust stroke.. when on compression both intake and exhaust valves are closed.. 2.4l what position is the cam supposed to be at
Ahh the old brake rattle. I'll be trying to locate these improved, coated clips for my 2009 Chevy G35 Express Van. I've replace the after market pads and kit with OEM but that dreaded rattle came back in about 600 miles. Thanks for sharing this.
