We've just ordered a new Snowy River SRC22F caravan. We've already asked for a extra solar panel to be installed and we'd like to have the option of running the microwave and air-conditioner from the batteries. 1) Approx what would be the cost to upgrade to this system. 2) If I want to get this upgrade done at a later date what should I be asking the dealer to do to the caravan to make this upgrade easier 3) Im in Melbourne The upgrade looks fantastic 👌
Why Toyota got rid of the split tail gate baffles me. The number of Landcruiser's that I have seen using 270 awnings surely Toyota would realize that 300 owners would want to do the same.
Can you do a vid on the ICE Integration camera system please? Super interested in this to get rid of that extra screen that looks cheap, clutters the dash, and definitely limits forward vision at times. Thanks.
There are two ways if normal inverter then if 2000 wat need 4 cars batteries or if 2000 inverter had buffering battery then single battery will work because refrigerator had on and off cycle so buffering may work
Thanks for your comment! Unfortunately without seeing your system and what you wish to achieve in person we cant advise accurately! However, We can confirm a 2000w inverter can run off a singular 200ah Lithium Battery.
Good day, I love your video’s. I saw this video a while ago go and have since added two BCDC’ to my system. I recently have picked up the Redarc TVMS Prime and want to wire my BCDC’s the way you have! Can you tell me how you wired the function to turn the charging circuit on and off. If I need a a battery isolator then I will order it! Thank you a head of time for any help you can give me! Mike
Hi Mike! To switch the DCDC charger on and off, we utilised a Heavy-Duty 100ah Relay with the Input to the charger wired through it! With a switch wire from the TVMS, we can easily trigger it on and off!
@chappysprojects2627 0 seconds ago Hi, I picked up a caravan 12/2017. It is fitted with a std 7 flat plug and one grey Anderson plug which has two wires connected for each - and pos terminals of the plug. The van does have dexter esc. As I have on my tow car, one grey a/plug then red a/plug the 7pin flat plug then one grey a/plug. The previous owner said the red a/plug was for esc Alco I think. should I remove the two wires from each terminal and have two a/plugs. your help would be appreciated
@@accelerateoffgridtouring it read the highest watts on machine of 800watts on one of them plugs that show the usage of watts etc ..but I do only cold wash’s , Ienot warm..just cold.indesit model IESD61251 thanks
I’ve a curious anomaly. Very hot 🥵 in San Antonio it reaching 100° and when I park it sometimes then in idle for several minutes the AC turns to warm and yesterday it took an hour even at fast running to get it running good again. I turned it off for a minute and it went back to normal cool air when I turn it back on again . Odd
Sounds like the car has an overheating issue and the vehicle may be turning the Ac system off to get rid of extra load, that would explain why when the vehicle is turned off for a while the system is either cooling down or forgetting that is was overheating allowing the A/c system to reengage for a while. But we wouldn't know for sure without looking at it! I would take it to your local Air-Con specialist.
@@accelerateoffgridtouring it’s like forgetting or something like that. It seemed to reset when I turned off car for about a minute.. then came back working normally 🤷🏽♂️
Hi. Great video Thankyou. Is the existing wiring for the extraction fan that I assume you removed to fit the Carafan sufficient for the 6 amp power draw of the Carafan?
Hello, yes for the caravan featured in the video yes it was adequate. We always recommend checking the wiring size and gauge prior to install and if required run the correct cabling if it is not acceptable. Thank you for watching :)
Hi Guys, I am having a 22 ft caravan (Rear Club) built. The builder is asking if I want HTP or Carafan? My limited knowledge and reviews are suggesting carafan. The builder has only suggested HTP as a alternative as it is lighter. In your opinion which unit is more effective given there is only a 4 kilo weight difference? Cheers muchly! Martin
Great - addresses Toyota design flaw. Prado had but LC 300 no. With towbar fitted without cover, very unsightly….paid $150k for GR with towbar, cover had to be left off , when installed. Without a cover, looked like something had fallen off or missing. Now with this service, a GR towbar cover installed to fit around towbar, will look complete again.
Thanks for watching! Yes we saw the flaw and we couldn't let beautiful 300 Series drive around looking like they were missing something! Glad you like our idea! It has been such a popular service!
Hi guys, I've recently found your channel and love it! We are in Melbourne, Victoria and are wondering if you know of any businesses like yours down here that you could recommend? We are wanting to upgrade our car and van's 12 volt system, add solar, etc.
Hello, sorry we don't have any affiliations with anyone in Victoria. We do have a lot of customers drive up with their vans if you wanted to come up for a holiday :D We usually require the van for 1 week for a full conversion!
Hello, Grey is usually vehicle charge input to your DC charger. Red is usually ESC power. Blue can be fridge and sometimes other things. I would be asking the seller for the wiring digram or taking it to somewhere that can confirm what each one is doing specifically for your van, we don't know who has wired up so can't be 100% correct on what they have done! Thanks for watching :)
