Our Mission - At Power Probe, we believe things should be simple. That’s why we design tools to make complex automotive technology accessible for the modern auto technician. As automotive technology continues to evolve, Power Probe will provide innovative technology, engineering, and knowledge solutions for technicians and consumers alike. Technology should always be backed by knowledge. Just as we build universal tools to make complex diagnostics simple, we are building a universal knowledge database to make today’s automotive electrical systems easy-to-understand. If you have a question about a complicated auto-tech issue, our knowledge center is here to help provide the answers you need.

Few improvements I see compared to the competition. 1. Website shows the meter and a price. What am I buying? What comes with it? 2. Spin on clamps are so 1925. 4mm Banana jacks please. 3. Why separate ohms and volts jacks but milli amps with ohms?
5 ft of 20 awg should be 16 mohms.... going with what he says should have showed a value..... (but in real life most meters measure 100's of mohms range... not 10's of mhoms range... so I would expect it to show 0. Should be done with a 4 wire measurement type meter if less then 1 ohm to really measure something that low in resistance..... (I get it's zeroing out the lead resistance and that's how it will get away with 2 lead measurement.....) But the insulation test (megger)... that's pretty cool.
I’ve got the PPIII master kit with the ECT 2000. I know as soon as I buy the 4 master kit, PP will come out with the 5… That’s my luck lol. Great tools!
So it gives you the ability to vary the duty cycle which is the width, what about the peak to peak voltage of the signal just created ? Is it 5v or 12v fixed ?
It outputs the voltage out coming out of the power probe so 12V but you can stack the tips and put a 5V tip on (PPT5VA) and limit it to 5V to test sensors and similar.
There are a lot of ways to measure parasitic draw, amp clamp over one of the wires going to the battery, measuring voltage drop over one side of the battery, but all those ways leave more to be desired. You'll have to convert voltage drop using our fuse charts to convert to true amps and that can only be so accurate. With the draw monitor it easily hooks up to the obd port and once you disconnect the battery it does all the work for you and converts voltage drop to amps and displays it very easily on the screen so that anyone can understand it. You can then easily communicate this to a customer with a photo. You can then run across the fuse panel and know exactly how much current you have to find so you're not just guessing. The tool also offers the opportunity to monitor the current on your phone via Bluetooth which can be helpful while you work on other components and to easily monitor spikes.
Most components have a current spec. If items like a fuel pump start pulling too much current, it's an indication that failure is eminent. Amperage is often a critical measurement for circuit health.
NECESITAMOS INFORMACIÓN COMPLETA Y CLARA DE CADA FUNCION DE POWER PROBE MAESTRO. SOY CLIENTE DE ESTA MARCA Y TODAVIA HAY FUNCIONES DEL POWER PROBE MAESTRO QUE NO USO PORQUE NO HAY UNA GUIA PRATICA EN LOS AUTOS.... EN ESPAÑOL POR FAVOR
Love your honesty😍😍😍 Sir our universe is a very thankless place (sorry to say) really I have to hustle with people just to make them believe & same goes for power probe Let me make a simple analogy, weapons are bad right, but this doesn't mean that you stop defending yourself, if one possess a weapon just for the sake of self protection that doesn't mean he has bad intentions Same goes for power probe, it's made to protect you when you use it the right way👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Totally agree with you Sir👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I Love power probe & I thank you guy's for inventing such an awesome tool, can't work without it😍😍😍 Keep up the great work Guy's👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hey there! No specific scan tool but we do have a parasitic draw measuring tool that hooks up to the OBD2 port of your vehicle. www.powerprobe.com/na/en/product-list/content/89C9e41Fbb5E
I currently have the PP3. I’ve had it for manny years. I’m wanting the 5v adapter and the pwm adapter as well as the ppamp adapter. My question is does the PP Maestro already have all these functions? I’m considering just upgrading to that if that is the case. I hope Power Probe rep replies to this! Thank you! Long time listener first time caller here!
Hey there! Sorry for the late reply here, the Maestro does not have those capabilities. You would need those same adapters for the Maestro. Thank you for being a long time consumer! We appreciate your business!
