Hello! My name is Michael and I am a trumpet player of 9 years, and I create videos of music that have the transcription over it. I take content suggestions, and special requests! If you enjoy my content, feel free to subscribe! I post several times a week. Have a great day!
You wanna hear screaming sopranos? Check out the 1993 Blue Devils show (Don Ellis Portrait)….those dudes are popping high A’s and Bb’s left and right!!
How did this song change marching bands? I see no band marching or explanation what this really is. All I got from this was a group of loud noises. Please explain yourself as it gets tiresome when people post incomplete information that no one knows anything about.
Marching Band is truly American. The absolute best is the brass and percussion Ohio State University Marching Band!! Drum Corps is a joke - only one show and they just walk.
Wtf did it change? DC competes to see which corps can come up with the silliest, obscure so-called 'theme'. My vote goes to the Bluecoats absurd '2023 show honouring the crappy poetry of an obscure 17th century 'free love' cuckhold and religious bigot named William Blake. Incredible stuff.
Awesome soloist, loved this whole show. I wouldn't say the best or loudest, Blue Devils, Madison Scouts have also had some amazing powerful soloists over the years.
As a former Marching Band and Drum Corps member, I can tell you the emotions you have performing on the field are real. We are a very passionate breed of people, and we put our hearts and souls into every performance. It was all or nothing to us. We left everything we had out on that field and parade route every day. Great memories.
In BD they'd have killed us leads if somebody hadn't floated at least a fat E on the last chord (and probably an A on top, tracked ridiculously on the release). But that's how we'd roll.
I don’t know what the video was referring to but this was the first time anyone ever wore different uniforms Before this show everyone wore the traditional “military” type uniforms which in my opinion I like more
I have a question. But it's a story. I have hard time organizing thoughts. Years ago a girl i was seeing took me 6 hours away to Allentown Pa to watch band people compete. I was ABSOLUTELY blown away. Never saw anything like it. Had a great day watching people do the impossible (from my prospective). Is this one of those arrangements? I'm going to listen to it again because i enjoyed it.
Dude I’m so sorry, I forgot about the Bluecoats alumni corps transcription you asked for. I only got about half way done with it. I can keep working on it if you’re still interested
@@Jacob_Brown sorry man, it’s taking way to long to complete it. I’m going to have to put it off to the side for a little because I’m burnt out from it. I’ve never transcribed something this difficult, sorry to let you down
I marched with Spirit many, many years ago. It was always a crowd favorite when we played "Georgia On My Mind". I went to see a DCI show a few years ago. It's an absolute shame they have gotten away from the traditional bugles in exchange for standard band instruments. It's even more disappointing the sound is allowed to be amplified. Back in the day, we didn't need amplification. #DCI
Call me old-fashioned, but I expect marching band music to have the same number of beats in each bar (preferably 2 or 4) and keep strict tempo until the last chord. That way you can march to it!
so a couple of things about the title to this video. I am probably missing the back story to this, but that was not a band, it was a drum and bugle corp minus the drums. Also, they were not marching. New title of the video - The song that changed standing still drum and bugle corp minus the drums forever.
