Thanks a million for shooting some video of me at Kanaha when I visited in May. I was on an old yellow JP Freeride 270 with a Maui Sails sail and a yellow ski vest and bounce crashed on a jibe attempt. I've watched it hundreds of times to relive the wonderful time I had.
Incredible footage. . really captures what looks like the freedom of wingfoiling. . you can choose what wave you want to surf. . or just let the wind take you. I haven't tried it. . but looks like an amazing sport.
Mind blown! What a way to finish! Forward to backward? Even if the rotation wasn't complete, much respect for trying or even thinking it can be done (and almost getting it!). You need to post at least one of these hardcore air videos a week!
You’re not the first, there was a bit of discussion early on that it was CGI and I jokingly said I used the UnrealEngine to make it and then the views started rolling in along with many theories on how it was made. Turns out me following with my kite foil is the easiest way to do this. These videos are so much fun to make. Thanks for watching 🤙🏼
@@JDFollowCam Haha, I'm sure you had a ton of fun reading all those :) But the riding, shooting and editing skills are just on another level - no wonder people can barely believe this is actually happening. You might even want to tune down one or more aspects to appear less perfect in order for this to appear more natural. Who would have thought we'd arrive at the times when the reality itself can start getting questioned... Once again, outstandishly great job!
Very true and here on Maui ‘Flash’ had his first wing prototype sitting in his closet for over a year because it didn’t work with his kite foil. When he finally got to try it with the first GoFoil surf foil from Alex it worked like a charm. It’s all about timing 🤙🏼
