@@angelicasharif6213 Congrats on upcoming 6 years Sisterlocked!🥰 Oh wow I didn’t know. Feel free to drop any video suggestions. Do you like trying different styles sometimes? Thank you!
Definitely glad you did this video. Locs will teach you patience and reality, when dealing with length, size and health, more self love, when understanding that your locs are unique to you and only you, and being proactive when thinking that you can just mistreat your locs with several colors and no conditioner treatments, no retwist/ other maintenance..
@@Ms.ClarmstrongPlus3 Yay! I’m glad the tutorial was helpful. This can definitely work on medium length locs. It actually works on short locs really well.
Stumbled onto this video after searching Google as I was retightening my daughter’s locs for the first time. We are in awe. Both of my kids (who have newly installed locs) said, “Wow!” when I showed them how long yours are. Thankful we found your channel!
Yes! Welcome to the butter glosses world. I’ve had maybe two neutral browns for the longest and this is my first time trying on more of the colors offered. There are so many shades to choose from. It would be cool to try all the non shimmery shades.
@@thecreativelady1908 Hey! The butter glosses are a favorite! I’m surprised that I hadn’t tried more shades before now. I like Ginger Snap too. I also liked the Butterscotch, Cranberry Pie, and Angel Food Cake.
@@thecreativelady1908 Hey! Thank you! I was inspired by the hair accessories and a similar style on Pinterest. I was literally just about to look up your EOS live. Thanks for the Vanilla Cashmere recommendation because I love the scent. I couldn’t remember if I told you or not.
@@XandriaPolish Thank you! Preference… I did have some length goals but I surpassed my last goal almost five years ago. I think it is time to cut I just haven’t done it yet. I need to decide how much I want to cut and I would like to have a professional cut it.
I love that style and I would love to do it if I didn’t have thin edges and was so insecure about wearing updo styles. You’re so gorgeous I love the length of your Sisterlocks.
Hey! Thank you! 🥰 How do you usually wear your locs? Instead of bringing the basketweave sections up in an updo maybe having them remain low and secure towards the back. Kind of like a low halo. The basketweave would be along the side and would hang above the ear. The middle section could just be basketweaved and lay flat towards the back. There would be no bun.
Your hair is gorgeous. I have locs but not sister locs. My locs are considered small. I originally wanted sister locs but when i saw the costs i reconsidered. My hair was past bra strap length when i started my loc journey and i was not cutting it so i just went with small locs. I have no regrets but i love to watch sister loc content. Thanks for doing great videos and great content!
Hey! Thank you so much!❤️ I started with about 6-8 inches. How long did it take your locs to lock? Do you interlock or palm roll? If you have any video idea suggestions please let me know.
QOTD: What products do you use for your locs on shampoo day? Have you ever thought about shampooing your edges separately from the rest of your locs even after your locs matured?
Your locs are beautiful by the way, but if you haven't went through any life changes that would cause a hormonal fluctuation such as pregnancy or menopause which will come to us all, your locs are going to be long and luscious until then. I would say keep eating right and taking supplements and mind the tension during frequent retightenings which will inevitably lead to traction alopecia.
Thank You for this video. For me I think my bonnet is thinning my edges, so I am going to switch to a silk scarf but you provided some great tips on breakage. I have microlocs and I do them myself
Hi! You’re welcome! Silk or satin bonnets are safest. One thing I’ve been doing since forever is wearing a satin or silk scarf just around my edges and putting the bonnet on top. I find that this helps to lay down my edges too (I don’t really apply any edge control). This also keeps the bonnet from rubbing against the delicate hair along the edges. Hoping the adjustments you make helps you see a change in your edges. Thank you for tuning in and commenting! Let me know if you have any video idea suggestions. 🥰
I wants to know is how long you planning on letting your hair grow pls explain beautiful but not for me I’m only 4 years middle part of my back and that’s it for me but any to each is in
