These beautiful out-of-bounds locations and vistas are accessible by modding the game on PC. I included only locations that you can actually go/teleport to in this video, but there's also ways to change camera angles within the intro movie (the one that plays when you start a new game) and the cutscenes. If you want to see these places for yourself and you're on PC, search for videos tagged with 'forbidden west out of bounds' and get Nukem's 'Gameplay Tweaks and Cheat Menu' mod.
great video! i love both radiohead and pretty scenes from games like horizon & tlou so this channel is like gold to my eyes :D especially this one feels like a passion project, and the way and order in which you showcase the places from the game feels very well thought through - kudos to you!
Yes you can, but only by using a mod that can teleport you there. At least that‘s how I did it, I couldn’t walk or fly there without the game crashing.
Agreed, a beautiful game. Keep in mind that there‘s all sorts of weirdness and glitchiness when using a camera tool and being out-of-bounds - so if this were part of regular gameplay it would look even better…
I think David Attenborough would also appreciate this video. After all, the Machines imitate the form and behavior of animals that once lived and are alive today.

The version of the Watcher that can shoot at you. It’s a distinction made in Zero Dawn, but absent in the sequel, because there’s no basic Watchers anymore…
