@@birdandthe Those of us who love his music do. We can at least respect how the man spelled his name. I'm hardly the only person to have noted the misspellings in various posts. Besides, it just "looks bad", like a guy I worked with who regularly showed up with food stains on his shirt. There musta been a reason they kept him away from our clients 😁 😃

Absolute masterpiece! Used to listen to it many times on LP in the late 1970s but then lost the LP. Fantastic to finally hear it again after forty odd years. Lost none of its brilliance either as composition or performance!

This recording will go down in the history as one of the outstanding performances It reminds me of Tennison's Crossing the Bar The dusk is setting we all would be crossing the Baitarani River in a boat leaving the mundane world as the crimson sun gradually setting down

If you, Birdandthe, would pleased, there is a haiku by Shida Yaha sequented by an exerpt of this "Song of autumn", downloaded from your channel with your silent allow and with including your channel in the video description on my channel. Thx. ps: There, in comment, there is literal translation

Very rare recording and a vital part of music history for those times. Anne sounds very uncomfortable singing with the Miller Orchestra. Quite possibly she had no time to rehearse and was working in what sounds like the wrong key for her voice! none the less, it really happened! Thank you.

Thank you for sharing this treasure! Just WONDERFUL!!!! By the way first virtuoso gem played by Piastro was written by Henryk Wieniawsk and it is Carnival Russe in style after Paganini's Carnival of Venice.

I watched a lot of your videos to get a feel for your mental state, (regarding JFK stuff) you tend to push what you agree with and avoid what you don't and criticize whatever falls in the middle. It's not helpful.

Takahashi remained in the United States for three years studying with Moyse. He earned money for expenses through performing and from a recording he made of traditional Japanese music with Koto.

What an incredible version of this fantastic song. The desperation and despair in this is truly suffocating. Amazing!! They said there were 800 people at this gig. It sounds like there were 3 from the sounds at the end of the song.
