Yeah my buddy showed me this AI emo/screamo song on spotify the other day, called urban desolation by Synthetic Veil. i was mind blown. Maybe like 1 tiny sliver of the track I could tell something was off.
If this can replace and create instruments in an already existing song to and if you can give it specific chords and melodies to include in a song to add that personal touch then it may be worth using over commissioning a human. I think the issue with AI is that it'll get really good at producing variations of the same 50-100 songs. And if everyone is using that AI you'll notice "why does this videogame/movie background music sound very similar to that other game/movie's music?".
I think the scariest thing is, were all realising that its better than anything we can make. I hear you. Been at it 30 years and the vocal takes are all better than anything i can do
@user-km4oe8if6d watch this space. Record companies are gonna smash this. I'm sorry to hear you're so easily offended. I apologise for not agreeing with you. Be well.
@dethpixl here's what it can NEVER do though man. Take people on an experience. Create a show, get some folks there then take em somewhere with YOUR creative expression. Maybe music isn't so much about the product now but about the person and the story you get to share. There's still room for your stuff. :)
I saw an interesting comment the other day on one of those types of videos The guy said AI-made music was going to be like mass produced furniture And human-made music will be like handcrafted furniture
@@dethpixl Exactly! A.I is a huge threat to everybody's livelihood (probably except for tradesmen...for now). The only people who will benefit from this are the ones that already have money in the end. A.I is also rapidly developing, it won't stop at "mass produced" quality. It's going to surpass the most talented humans in every aspect.
@@dethpixl The surface will always be clear, the soul of it is felt As long as AI can't generate a soul, music enjoyers will keep enjoying And if it ever does... then maybe that simply means humans aren't as special as they like to say they are
AI music seems often too perfect, like sleek even the messy genres. I've made like 16 or so albums using Udio as of today, but overall it's addictive but also kinda soulless, in essence, it lacks sincerity and idk it's like a vibe, it's like AI art even that is lacking in a certain touch of imperfection or human texture. The factory made furniture analogy is pretty apt, real music also needs to be played live in order to make money etc. Art well that's another story. But yeah Udio music let's see where it goes. And i guess the philosophical questions like why do we make music, etc. and what can machines not do that we can? I reckon, we are on the cutting edge baby, this is what the avant garde feels like ✨
If its like this now, what will it be like in a few years. Best to get in early like you are my man - learn it and use it, maybe make money helping other people to master it... Mind people will always pay good money for the real McCoy.
It's the struggle of an artist to bring music to life that gives music its worth. AI just dilutes creativity to mean absolutely nothing. If you scratch the surface you'll find there's nothing underneath.
Artists have locked themselves in genera and theme. I just listened to bubblegum Afro-house. When a robot can give me the music I want after waiting so long for artists to make it. I think the artist need to take a hard look at what they are making. Because in the end they have diluted their creativity. And a lot of the music now means nothing. The experimentation is gone. The safe paths are king. A handful of artists prove this critique wrong. But for every artist pushing the boundaries there is a hundred more still following the trends and rules because money.
Nothing about this is good. At least these are your lyrics, but, like I’ve seen in happen in the visual arts (my field, and for decades) this is a fast tack to creative layoffs, and the production of aesthetic sludge, empty calories, corner cutting and despair among young creators especially, who instead of spending years mastering a craft worth their time, now face a horde of ‘demagogues’ who think all this knocks us snobby elitist creators down to their level. Happy days, eh mate? You should totally form your own band, Ska is ripe for a reboot!
Embrace it. The way music is produced is 100% going to change. Using this to get ideas, melodies, samples, vocals, is a power addition to producing music. It's a total game changer.
Yeah big business will probs take advantage but real artists will take this and use it as a tool, i see a lot of people without an income that wanna be rappers but can't afford to get a track made professionally. Haha I'll let you know if I ever do 😂
just working on my first Bootleg after many many hours of learning and thousands DJing, and sumi is the one i came across and was pretty much blown away. However, creativity is a human condition. AI tracks need boycotting or something
I have been having a blast making songs with this. I play guitar and many brass instruments, but those performances and stuff I have done have always been live orchestra etc. Just goofing with this is pure fun. I am a fan.
Man this is amazing but cmon, you really could put more in you cosplaying them I never wouldve edited as great as you did but maan, you really have more in you, it feels so
