I have a great love for dogs, but I am also mindful that a dog's saliva can carry bacteria and viruses. As a Muslim, we believe that the Angels of mercy do not enter a home where a dog lives inside. For this reason, I would also not consider buying a property where a dog's saliva is present. That said, Islam teaches us to treat all living beings with compassion, and caring for dogs-feeding them, showing kindness-can be a path to Paradise. While I personally follow the belief of not having a dog live inside my home, I fully respect the love and happiness that dogs bring to many people.
