I thought it was a nice touch that Yoshi Kid got a theme that has some Chinese instrumentals, considering his birthplace (hatching place) is Glitzville, a tourist attraction with Chinese architecture
In my opinion Flurrie and Ms Mowz still have the best themes, but Goombella, Yoshi, and Vivians are all up there too and just ahhhhh i have no w9rds. Koops and bobbery are good too but dont hit me like the other ones do,
I really like that they added so much new music and that included giving the rest of the partners their own themes (since originally only Flurrie and Ms. Mowz kinda had themes) Yoshi including the erhu from the Glitzville though and a snippet of the theme where you have to actually catch him, that's the good fucking shit
AWDS really hit the ball park with her theme. Ever since I started playing Reboot and finally got to play as her, I had set my expectations in hoping it would sound equivalent to DS. Boy was I underwhelmed with how it came out, but overall still not that bad
Heh, how about roughly 20 years ago, the hair looks unique, nowadays such a style looks pedestrian because of all the outrageously dyed hairstyles we see. Now, whether you think that's good or bad is up for interpretation.
Though she IS a Tomboy by design, I don't like Jess's voice sounding too botch nor like HOW the artists do not use both her AW2 and AWDS illustrations to greater detail in her recent one (her back hair is much better). I imagine her sounding more like Tigrerra from Bakugan, but without a certain amount of growling aggravation and more like how she is described in-game via her personality and biography. Though everybody has their own interpretations.
The mixing is horrible on most reboot camp themes…. It’s the subtle things that make all the difference. There’s a tambourine hit in the midst of Jess’ third section of her original theme that is missing in the reboot camp theme. People underestimate percussives.
AWDS had rushed development It's like they're reusing the themes from the GBA but without the Audio compression on the GBA, original audio... And not entirely remaking them which sucks
I also wondered for the longest time why Jess would carry a giant pencil. Then one day it hit me like a ... medium tank. Her power is replenishing all troop's ammo and fuel. And she is carrying the fuel and tank shell for her vehicles.
@Bowser Fiery Koopa King if by "cool" you mean getting the ice to fixed the drilled-in eardrums from the sheer pain of listening to it & is the only downside of Dual Strike Eagle because his lightning drive is too good for it's price. As for Max's theme, it is the better version but can be debated.

I’m a huge fan of Moonview Highway. I love the chaotic vibe to it as it fits the stage too well. I really hope it comes to deluxe in the dlc, the remix would go so hard!!!
