John Carpenter Official Artist Channel. John Carpenter has been responsible for much of the horror genre’s most striking soundtrack work in the fifteen movies he’s both directed and scored. The themes that drive them can be stripped to a few coldly repeating notes, take on the electrifying thunder of a rock concert, or submerge themselves into exotic, unholy miasmas. It’s work that instantly floods his fans’ musical memory with imagery of a menacing shape stalking a babysitter, a relentless wall of ghost-filled fog, lightning-fisted kung fu fighters, or a mirror holding the gateway to hell.
Man, just finishing Alan Wake 2 and seeing this pop up was pretty perfect. God I'd kill for Carpenter to dust off his directing and do an Alan Wake film. No active director could do it right, but Carpenter was made for that material.
Kills is such an awesome entry in the series idc what anyone says, yeah it had some questionable moments but as a “Halloween” film within the franchise, it’s a fucking spectacle and an easy top 5 maybe even top 3.
time goes on and on... and in October there will be a Halloween revival, who knows whether the spirit of Myers will be in the film after the destruction of his body or whether he will be revived, time will tell, just wait...
