well done. I think they make a microfine fine cement with very fine sand. wold be easier to polish and create, preserve fine details. and they have polymer cement for strength and water proofing. gives me ideas. still...very well done!
I just did this repair and my hot water heater is working perfectly again. A plumber and electrician both told me to just replace the whole heater. So thank you for this video and link to purchase the part!
I have an Temra 29, been a GREAT unit for over 15 years no issues. I have 3 of these I'm going to replace, and put in a new input plumbing piece later this weekend. Not hard units to work on.... when I turn on hot water, all the lights in the entire neighborhood dim. 150 amps. LMAO! "HONEY why are the LIGHT DIMMING?" "It's OKAY, the BARNHARTS are taking a SHOWER!" "Oh GOOD GOD, Mrs. Barnhart takes over an hour in there everyday!" "Put on the mining hat I brought you for Christmas for the times they are showering!" "Oh thats a great idea honey, thank you!" "You welcome, just DON'T RUN the hair dryer, we don't want to overload the electrical grid and blow out the transformers and be without power for the next day."
Thank you. I just replaced the flow sensor on my Tempra Plus, 9 years old, and although it's an easy job, it's nice to see someone do it first. Especially the part about lifting the right side to disconnect the top part of the sensor. Mince had two screws to loosen first. Worked like a charm. Cheers!
Came home today to no power to unit. Reset breakers and no luck. Tried the reset buttons inside with no luck. When your flow sensor died did your tank still show it had power? Or was it not lighting up at all? Thanks. Great video.
Do you know if the flow meter can be bypassed? It seems if you don't have enough flow, it won't signal for heat. As others have noted, some water appliances seem to not have enough flow rate. So multiple points of use must be on. Thx.
Hi, my hot water comes on if I put on the bathroom shower and my bathroom sink only…would this cause that issue? Seeing that it’s more flow? If it’s the shower alone, there is no hot water
Cool video! I greatly think you If I would be allowed... concrete gets strength from it's aggregates. I would suggest sand, concrete, and concrete bonding agent for final resurfacing. Will produce a stronger but sandy finish. Spray da adhesive + water on sculpture plus add a glue of adhesive to topping mix. I've tried ot without the sand, the Portland fluffs off, little staying strength.
Heh, you brought out the sawsall, and I thought 'oh here we go, someone's gonna lose an eye! ' but no. It was surprizing to see how well it worked. Glad you didn't lose an eye, you just keep on with that. Thanks! :-)
your air pressure control is the primary consideration for the bubble distribution in your product; the secondary consideration is the steel wool substrate (is it uniform, stepped, or uncontrolled ?) and the third is the brand (formulation) of soap (assuming you are using at least a decent foaming soap).
I used a blender to approximate a foam slurry and it does not set up very quickly... in theory it should work without air compressors. But having very limited success.
higher psi makes smaller bubbles making better aircrete. that is why you have bubbles that are not nice. increase your psi to 90 and yur bubles will be better.
Your foam was weak got to be like shaving cream not soupy they use your soap to do domes 3 oz soap. To 32 oz water see Honey DO CARPENTER sauce shampoo is the best or commercial Derexal
Awesome. Having been a sculptor and sandsculptor for most waking hours of my life. Your demo carved aircrete makes my imagination go hog wild. I saw honey carpenter add Cobb to the mix that made the air bubbles tighter and smoothier to carve. Finally a lightweight, faster, and permanent solution for my sandsculptures. Ps, I mix 15 to one cement to sand taking sandsculpture to a higher level, just too heavy to carry around. I bet, you could carve aircrete fresh using trowels for roughing out. Then go findier as it sets up with many kinds of detail tools.
Make sure the foaming agent you use must contain SLSA or SLSE , manufacturerey stop using it most shampoos and detergents . SLSA or E is a stable foaming agent but the others not. I wish you have consistent air bubbles in the future.
Do u want to know how to make tick last long bubble? I will tell u secret if u watch my video and comment. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-syakbyAYJgI.html
thanks for the video ,how's the frog holding up a year or so later? I wonder, do you think aircrete would be a good building material for something like a house? or is it too brittle and would be hard to trust ? I'd like to know what you think.
How To Keep Bubbles Small Keep track of your total desired volume, and add foam to the wet mix to reach that level. You can pump the foam under pressure. Inject the foam into the bottom of the wet mix with a stirring motion until the desired total volume is reached, then stir to homogenize. *Fresh air becomes captured if you stir too fast.* Use a vibration tool. Plunge it into the aircrete so that the largest bubbles rise to the surface. _Viscosity will keep the smallest bubbles in suspension, which are the only ones you want anyway._ Add more foam to restore desired total volume, stir and vibrate again. Pouring is another stage when air can be entrained. Avoid large drops where the aircrete can accelerate into the mold, pulling fresh air inside. Pour onto a shovel or hoe held at the surface.
I use to used perlite in my wall design. I wish I knew about this back then. You can add the cement hardener in a gallon sold or try adding Elmer glue to the mix it should make it stronger or cut fiber and add or try perlite .
