i wish you would’ve focused more on the narrative based on the concept with eternal sunshine of the spotless mind etc, rather than talking about rumors and her personal life gossip. this album is so pretty and introspective, and wasn’t meant to be understood from the lense of the gossip, but from the storyline behind the erasure of relationships and memories and dealing with the change. i loved it and personally it’s a 8/10 for me :)
This album is absolutely amazing. Not a huge Ariana fan, but her personal life should not overlap the work she has done for this album. All the tracks in this album are vague (can apply for anybody or anything) and these are amazing work. I am shocked st upur review. I really thought you were rating the music, not the person doing it.
All the songs feel like they were made like spoken word poetry, and then much later some generic minimalist sound effects were put in to accompany the lyrics. It's like anyone can cut out the vocals and paste them on a completely new musical arrangement (hard rock, techno, emo, hip hop, country, folk, pop punk, jazz, acoustic, etc) and they would work the same.
This album coming out has got me back into Woman, I really like album, it just comits so hard to capturing some of that disco era that I love. As far as this new one goes, I didn't mind the RIMON vocals and I like Dear Alan! I also can't get on with The End. Sorry to disagree with almost everything said here haha
Everything that is wrong with music criticism. Hyper critical and totally missing the point. It’s perfectly imperfect and whoever this lad is, he missed it.
