Making a decision to book a site at a campground you've never visited can be difficult when all you can see on line is a couple of photos of an individual site. The campground your interested in may be hours away from your home. And between camping fees and gas your spending a lot of money hoping it's going to be a nice park when you arrive.
My aim is to provide just a little more information about what the park looks like by doing a drive through for you. You will be able to tell if the sites have good privacy or not. Or if some of the sites are on the water. Or if it's suitable for your type of trailer. Or maybe you have already stayed at the park and your enjoying a trip down memory lane by watching.
Thanks so much for this fantastic preview of Martin River PP. My husband, our two dogs and I are booked for our first week of camping there this summer. It looks like a beautiful park. Happy Camping!!
Sorry, no. But at 27:12 in the video if you pan to the left of the drivers seat you can see the entrance. You can see carts that the park provides to carry your gear in. Very short walk in. Boat rentals are nearby.
Thanks for the video, I'm just adding comments for myself and my friend to decide the site, I hope useful for others too. Sorry it just for one campground only. Please break up and label the different areas. So we know what area you are in at different times. It will make it easier to get a better idea of how each ground fairs. Thank you for the video
Hi Jay, I do add comments. They are at the bottom of the screen as I drive through the different sites. It's much more difficult to do in my 360 videos but I am working on it. Thanks for the comment.
I enjoyed this video. Back in the mid and late 60's we made 3 or 4 trips to this area. I think it was the summer of 63 and again in 64 and in 1970. We rented cottages from a couple who owned a camp know as Camp Georgian. The first 2 times we stayed in the main campground and the last time it was in a cabin at their marina. I'm guessing the cottages you showed were what used to be Camp Georgian. I remember walking across the road to visit the provincial park. Lots of good fishing memories that last a lifetime. Maybe someday I'll return.
Thanks for the nice comment. I'm glad it brings back nice memories for you. The reason I started filming parks was so I could relive my trips during the winter. It gives me hope. 🙂
Hey thanks so much! We have driven through Algonquin before but never been able to camp. This helped us visualize the campground ahead of time. Thanks for taking the time to do this!
I promoted this video on my channel. I hope that this is not an issue for you. I'd like to keep promoting your channel if you would like me to. If you do have an issue with this please let me know and I will stop. My wife and I absolutely LOVE the drive through (especially the 360) and look you up before each campground we are going to. I could have sworn that you did Pancake Bay, did you not yet? I'm currently filming our review on. We are going to Canisbay algonquin soon and id also like to promote that video. Would that be an issue?
No problem. I try to film the campgrounds on nice sunny days to show them in their best light. If I remember correctly we were in heavy rain coming home from Agawa Bay and skipped Pancake Bay. We also skipped Grundy that year due to the forest fires in the area. I caught Grundy the next year. FYI I have Finlayson Point, Rene Brunell and Martin River in the can. Just need time to edit and put them up. Thanks for your interest and support.
@@campgrounddrivethrough6758 I understand the pain of wanting to film but the weather doesn't agree with you. I have had my share of rainy days where I am bored but can't even film because of weather. Thanks again for letting us be apart of your channel. Keep it up, we love the video's
there is reservation cheating going on at this park, look at the month of september and october to thanks giving, there are dozens of sites booked right through as of right now may 18 this is BS cause we go there every year at Thanks giving, and when we arrived at the park last year apearently to the same bookings expecting to see a full park, it was almost empty, with only around 8 other sites taken and none of the ones booked occupied until thursday night and through the day and night of friday. People need to stop cheating to get a site, if someone else needs to book for any time before they are screwed because of the ignorant selfish actions of others, I will be petitioning Ontario parks to make for real penalties whhen they catch people cheating and a red flag system for when people change reservations often to aquire a site before thheir actual arrival date. if anyone else sees these things going on and think it should be actually stopped then write the parks, do up a letter and resend it every 6 months. the demand for camping has grown significantly and so has the cheating. its time to end it.
I hear you, but the problem is, if someone wants to book a 23 day block, so they can guarantee their 14 day vacation period, they're gonna pay for 23 nites. They've got the $ and do not care how you or I feel about it.
We stayed at Chutes for one night last summer on our way to Superior. Never had the chance to check the park out. A lot bigger than I thought. We will have to stay there again. Thanks for the vid.
Wow. Thanks for that. I just tucked my camping gear away and was feeling so depressed. Your video inspired me. The Lake of Two Rivers has been on my to go list for too long. My heart is racing and now I am so excited for next summer. Or maybe this weekend? Lol. A girl can dream!
