Stingrays and eagle rays stir up the bottom, and food for those fish, and also protection and other reasons.

I've heard that Bonaire is THE place to dive in the Caribbean. I've had great luck off Roatan and Cozumel, but still hear people rank Bonaire at the top.

Bonaire was fun. Funny you mention Roatan and Cozumel, we have trips going to both of them this winter, Roatan in February and Cozumel in March.
