This video is way old but cleaning that way will void your warranty. The printer keeps track of how often it goes through a cleaning cycle and if you exceed 1200 cards without a cleaning, you void your warranty. Not saying you can't clean that way, just you then probably should put a cleaning card in the way they recommend and initiate the normal cleaning procedure through the printer driver, so the printer "knows" it has been cleaned.

I was so irritated with this printer because it wouldn't work. We just weren't cleaning it properly. Lifesaver. Thank you so much!

@nicopp10...you may need to clean it more than once I suggest you do a hard clean as the video suggests if it hasn't been cleaned for a while it will print all black cards...
