Cool thing is you can buy the F23 for 200 dollars now and use it to take videos of the dogs playing in your backyard. A savings of over 140,000 dollars.
Hi can someone please help me, i have an f35 and I want to ask if its possible to plug the charger directly to the camera?(without the battery) Many thanks
It has the option to, but few people if using these still do. Much easier to feed directly from the IF box (not pictured in this video) to obtain dual or single link SDI for recording that way. They're cheap because many don't include the IF box or any other components outside the camera itself and there is expense in building the kit back up into a usable state. 50/60p or 4:4:4 12bit modes aren't possible to obtain without the IF box or tape, although you can still derive 10bit 4:2:2. There are also very few recorders that will lay down a 4:4:4 12bit signal (in the weirdo dual link PsF format) outside of the Odyssey 7Q, although might be possible with SDI multiplexer into 3G-SDI. Camera is also power hungry and powering it can be convoluted if you're not on sticks with a VLCX block battery. The IF box or fibre box are the only ways of getting power into it if you don't have something with the giant 8 pin lemo connector (as with VLCX cable). You can see how these things combine to limit interest in the cameras, (particularly the f23), but that's not to say bargains can't be had.
@Dailybabble Sony does sell their professional cameras in the Cinealta line. These are quite pricey though and with I believe the F65 now they are more.
Too bad these cameras aren't available to anyone you have to rent it to use one the one that is available is worth about $80k, how much will this cost? 16k? xD
