Highly likely the printer is set for DHCP. Check this information on the test print again. Connect the printer into a router. Wait for few minutes and try the test print. Once you have access, you can change it to a static IP. Good luck.

Mate, We have used over a couple of hundred Xprinter Network Printers in our POS Projects. We are not the XPrinter manufacturers nor promoting this printer, but we are very happy using this printer as a substitute for expensive EPSON Printers. It's very easy to change IP address of this printer.
Browser and Printer has to be on the same subnet for them to talk to each other, basically. So, first you need find the current IP of the printer and bring your network to the same subnet to access via web browser or to use the config windows application.
First thing I would check is if your paper is thermal paper. If it print the correct length of the test print but only not print anything, could be a problem with the printer.
