So you love action sports and they give you joy... well that sounds like something that could.... actually it should be parlayed into your greater purpose. Perhaps you focus on learning and becoming as knowledgeable as possible about one of those sports and then figure out how you share that knowledge (for a fee) with others. Or you create an adventure planning company and lead groups on those trips or you create some adventure sports facility that doesn't exist in FL that you could use to introduce kids to sports, like a summer camp or on and on. Just make sure whatever you decide, make sure you love it otherwise, it becomes a chore not a joy! Oh, and btw, I really hope that your scare has really taught you that nothing, absolutely nothing, not lack of time, not being too cool,, not because it's inconvenient, not because "no one else is," nothing is a good excuse for not using all available safety equipment and being 100% prepared for worst case scenarios! I agree that you’re very lucky your accident wasn’t more severe, but it sounds like you’ve gained perspective from the experience, understanding that "everything happens for a reason." Great idea to have Glory drive your truck back home to you, I follow her channel too. I know why they gave you ketamine. It is good for pain but since they didn’t know if you had a major head or spine injury it keeps you from moving around and also helps somehow if you have a brain trauma. You mentioned you fractured your pelvis. You really are blessed you weren’t hurt even more. I didn’t know you could walk on a pelvis fracture. Though I imagine it depends where it is broken and how badly. I’m so glad you are going to be ok. While in this period where you are searching for a fulfilling purpose there is a book out that I know would help you a lot. It is called The Purpose Filled Life by Rick Warren. That will be a great help to you I have no doubt. It is a wonderful book and helps people find their Purpose that God made them for.

I saw a YT today about a guy who takes part of his earnings and buys food to pass out to the homeless people near where he lives. Here’s a greater purpose. Go get a job. Do something that earns you money while building character. If you do something for someone for money, you have a responsibility to that person. When you realize you have responsibility to others, it builds your character and feeds your soul. Nothing comes out of living for yourself except for selfishness.

I cannot believe they let you out of the hospital so fast with all of those injuries! ( it’s the nurse and mom in me!) take care you ruffian and heal well. I am glad you are home and healing. No lectures here, because you are an adult that enjoys taking risks. I had to chuckle when you got out of the chair at the end, because at my age of 69 say the exact same thing. Now,you are able to sympathize with lifers over 60. The best thing about that age is, this is why we are a lot wiser from the journey we call life.
The word is disabled. Most people dont have the benefit of recovering. You need to realize that being paralyzed could have been your life. Take this time to become more humbled, you aren't there yet. Getting a chuckle about the benefits in an airport for a crippled person, not funny.

Ah man, I'm sorry. It sucks. Right now my bicycle is my only form of transportation. Luckily I am 3 miles away from EVERYWHERE I need to go. Plus I practically live on a safe, paved bike trail. I live in South FL in Boca Raton, which is basically the halfway point between Ft. Lauderdale & West Palm Beach. You know what FL is like....flat as a board, so I guess im luckily & have no chance of being adventurous unless I go to actual parks. And the HORRIBLE FL drivers. Bro get better fast. I get such a horrible feeling when I see bikers get hurt, especially to your extent. So glad you didn't end up paralyzed...,cos i know it could easily be me cos I'm out there EVERY day interacting with FL driver's on the streets. I'm such an advocate for bike lanes & South FL is grossly lacking in that department. Get better Luke!
