Do everything in this video. My E93 also came with Bluetooth from factory but it was only for phone calls. Bluetooth Audio first appeared on 2011 models.

@@Albertt.c Yes, you have to apply the FSC codes to unlock Navigation, the ability to update the Navigation maps via USB, and Voice Control. All the links to the software you need are in the description.
@@bmwdiy oh, thanks! I want to do all this thing on a CIC mid. I bought it for my work as im doing a BMW simrig will all the modules like cas, jbe, cluster etc. and my Navigation menu got locked. I want to unlock everything 😅
The thing that I hate so much is that once it leaks oil, it leaks on the fucking driveway and I already destroyed 2 driveways because of my BMW and burning oil is a bad thing because it can cause smoke to get into the cabin
I finally got around to repinning my tcu to combox. For me I had to shave the skinny fin on the bottom left of the Bluetooth connector and it went in fine. One thing i noticed putting the bracket back in was that it was sparking as it rubbed against the frame of the car so I’ll have to address this soon idk how long it’s been like that but i didn’t get shocked
Hey, i don't know if you'll answer after this long but i'll try anyways. I'm trying to retrofit paddles on my '08 530, but i can't rly figure it out how to code them, i don't have the 2tb but i understood that i need to activate it to be able to use the paddles. Do you by any chances could tell me how i should do it? I don't know how to code them with NCS Expert. Thank you!
A really long cable like the one in the link below. It connects to the blue or black port on the Combox. It’s a lot of work to bring it to the armrest. I would just leave it in the trunk and a connect a USB stick with all your music to it. @@bmwdiy thanks man! I was super surprised when I got the price on the combox at a local parts yard for $11! I’ll be going back because i forgot to get these nice leather wrapped sun visors to replace my fabric ones. I might just buy the cable though and leave it it that back like you said, too much work to pull it off another car. Thanks again though its been too long with my faulty CCC unit!
The wheels are honestly absolutely garbage should’ve gone with the 172 style 19 inch (spider) ones they look so much nicer with that body style I know bc I owned one.
@@bmwdiy dang I should’ve done more research but I was an hour from home at the only yard that has cic bmws, I had it taken off and e everything but oh well I got the cic parts so I’ll wait for another nearby later on. I can’t wait to get it working
Just pulled basically all the parts at a u pull it. The pink cable was easier but the glove box usb one was a but of a hassle. I cut the other cable to the screen and will repin it to mine $116 total 👌
Update got it all in and it works!! Audio works from the radio and previous owners music plays but aux in armrest doesn’t. Im assuming its a coding thing cus I havent done anything yet with that
Yes, and I actually prefer the CCC control knob for the E93 since it’s much more durable. I met someone with an LCI 2011 E93 that had the CIC controller, he left the top down in the rain and the controller was fried. $400 for a new one. Also if you have the top down in the hot sun it might cause the paint on the CIC controller buttons to easily peel and fade.

I have an issue with Tool32 to get my CIC Mid to match the VIN of my car. For CIC Business the .PRG are CICMR. For CICMR_GW and CICMR_SD the „aif_schreiben“ worked. But when trying to do „aif_schreiben“ I get „error_ecu_service_not_supported“ as a response and the VIN is not written. Do you have any idea why?
I just used Spotify on my CIC through my iPhone 11 Pro on my ride home today. It's the only app you need and it's really nice to be able to navigate your Spotify music on the Idrive screen while your iPhone is charging :) There is also no glare, unlike the newer BMWs.
i’m getting a very similar specd e60 m sport this weekend. the entertainment screen was it fitted in or is that part of the LCI as id love to have the pre lci entertainment stuff swapped out for that one
Can’t find standard tools, but I got mikes easy bmw tools and it has all the same programs in inpa, ncsexpert, ncsdummy etc, but I don’t have the manipulation profile in ncs expert and when I try to start to code like u I don’t get a start button option, I can put the chassis but for the ecu it doesn’t show cas as an option like yours it shows me 7 ecu options in German.. help please I got the head unit and the display and combox installed and only need to code 😅
Hi bro I did my CIC retrofit on my LCI E60 and all seems to work but i have no sound at all even when i put reverse i dont have any sound and the usb drive isnt recognize in the screen, i didnt done the coding by the way

Ask the seller what year was the car the headunit came from. If it is 2011-2013 then most likely to have C1A. You can see on the sticker on the front of the headunit the build date.
Im getting a 2006 e61 525i in a week, its got msport package and lots of extra equipment on it, unfortuantly not the comfort seats but its been modified with the LCI upgrade and im so damn excited 😁
Nice video! Can someone still help me please? When im changing the attributes with ncs expert and the cic restarts, it still got the same values...tried with all profiles and new made profile with correct setting
