Honestly I think it's much more smarter to try and start a wrestling company from scratch as oppose to investing in a existing one. Currently sports is possibly the most overpriced thing in entertainment. Such as how Netflix paid $5 billion for a 10 year deal to air WWE Raw. Like are you kidding me? WWE's best show (Smackdown) gets 2.5 million viewers on a good day. How is this a smart investment? They could've spent that money renewing a bunch of TV series and would've gotten significantly higher viewership from that too. Truth to be, every sport league or fake sport league in this case are all charging billions to license their content which is ridiculous. So I can see why Tubi wants to create on from scratch. They already have the audience reach, they just now need someone competent to create a wrestling show. I'm just crossing my fingers we actually get someone ambitious (Robert Rodriguez's Lucha Underground idea was a step in the right direction) instead of all the current idiots we have who just wants to recreate the Monday Night wars and thinking sticking to the product of the 70s and 80s will somehow still work in the 2020s. EDIT: Not sure if Freddie is the right person to do it or not, but I think the very first thing they got to do is have a actual number of episodes in a season they want as oppose to just having the show run to infinite and beyond in episodes. Doing this will also help save money on salary as they can pay wrestlers per appearance as oppose to having some yearly contract.
From Vince Russo to Jim Cornette to these wannabe wrestling journalists and Podcasters like Cultaholic and the other dime a dozen clickbait channels I truly believe that there's a combination of Independent Wrestling (ROH, TNA, MLW) Derangement Syndrome and AEW Derangement Syndrome, where people are toxic beyond belief, only see negativity in everything they look at and that the bulk of these influencers in the wrestling community are actually being artificially boosted in their algorithms with the help of bot accounts to both boost their views and comments sections and to attack AEW and other companies not WWE. I wonder if the higher ups in WWE are paying for a orchestrated smear campaign against AEW. The amount of negativity toxicity and hate is drastically out of proportion compared with the reality of how wrestling is actually doing. People are too easily fooled into following the pack such as the experiment where all but one test subject was a plant and they all intentionally gave the wrong answer to a easy question and then when the unexpecting person was asked they fell for the peer pressure to be with the in crowd and intentionally gave the wrong answer as to not be different.
Whats the story with Reality of Wrestling, Ohio Valley Wrestling and the United Wrestling Network (Championship Wrestling From: Memphis, Hollywood etc...) Is it just me or are these 3 entities starting to make the jump from local independent promotions to a bigger stage like MLW or NWA. And is GCW and OVW going to do a joint show of any sort?
If it involves Cicione, I’ve been told you have to go through TNA Head of Media Relations Ross Forman / he’s the one who released the Cicione statement
Nobody watches TV. Old people and losers is the audience. If I'm going to watch a wrestling show I watch it on a site. Same with any tv show. I sub to Netflix, nbc and RU-vid premium, and NFL+. Commercials are for people who don't have anything better to do with their time. RU-vid premium is the best monthly bill I've ever paid. It's fantastic!!!!
what a fucking loser, an excuse of a human being this fucking david starr asshole is, I'm so happy he was forced to retire because of his stupid actions, I wish him a sad rest of life and a neverending lack of success.
"Come on man" to quote Crooked Joe Biden, I have been around quite a few gyms between high school, college, the gym and I stint in prison for nonviolent drug offences and I can tell you that nine out of ten guys that brag about how big their appendage is are over exaggerating. To be honest some people that are on the large side are not even aware of the fact and they have self doubts. Many girls are quick to hype up a man's penis size in the heat of the moment regardless how dinky it is. Most girls don't want to be rude are offend anyone so most guys hear it all the time how large they are until they are stripped naked in a prison cell with 30 other dudes and made to shower together like that. Now I was in prison back in the 90's so I don't know if you are even allowed to shower without having boxers on but back in the day things were much different.
I've been watching CWF Mid-Atlantic off and on over the years but I just started watching everything on the RU-vid channel from the oldest video and working my way forward. CWF Mid-Atlantic is one of literally a hundred promotions that have a ton of content available on their RU-vid channel that I'm following. The only thing is I don't know what happened to CWF Mid-Atlantic because I remember when the NWA started producing Powerrr I remember CWF Mid-Atlantic still uploading content but today their last upload was a few years ago now. I don't know what happened to the company, are they inactive, did the owner die, or did they make the move to a new platform??? Anyone know what happened to CWF Mid-Atlantic?
Now (or shall i mention so far) at the age of 56 this being still puzzles me, letting me wonder how he maintains his stamina, perhaps predecessed by guys like Jeff Hardy and Darby Allin, or being paralleled by others like Abyss, Mick Foley, Sabu or Terry Funk. Is that a well used set of neanderthals genes assembling and patching those roddy people back together, do they all conditionize their bodies exeptionally?
PCO is a great guy in real life too and I'm so glad he won the world title. I heard Vince loved the pirate gimmick he had in WWF and was pushing him to the moon....but the kliq didn't like him so they made Vince gave him a major downgrade. Seeing how he is having a career renaissance is nice as long as he's got the gas in the tank and can still go. I say keep it up dude.
Nash was the one that killed his push. PCO was supposed to go over Nash in his home country and Nash wasn't having it. Nash was up to his usual politicking to reverse that finish. There were a couple of other incidents that I can't remember off hand as well.
