Is this a sponsorship? Some sort of clout chasing? Prime is horrible and its owned by dickheads, its not like it needs this kind of publicity, hut i also dont see the point in giving it. I dont get the point of this video.
There is a sailing blog called Sailing Anarchy where someone inquired as to how to source depleted uranium to install in a keel, making a denser keel and/or smaller wetted area, a small but perhaps advantage over lead. This is against the rules, but... After some hilarious comments such as "all over Iraq", and "you'll die of radiation poisoning" and "no you won't", Someone then suggested tungsten and indeed it has a higher SG than uranium-thus theoretically better. Difficulty in machining it precluded this and embedding it in lead was considered bur its price for the weight they were talking about was astronomical so I think it was abandoned as a concept.
Well, I have to say that lighting up the leds probably takes 10 times more power than running the calculator. Lcd calculators run on a sniff of an oily rag.
For anybody wondering where the "energy" comes from in the battery, it comes from the energy used to smelt the metals from their oxides (ores) to make them pure metal.
I would have thought that an educated scientist would not allow his kids to drink an unhealthy ultra processed product detrimental to biological wellbeing.
What if you were to melt salt inside a copper cup and placed graphite rod invthe center, keeping it 1mm from the bottom . To prevent a short. And maintained heat to keep it Molten. Cinnect a volt meter to the cup and graphite would there be a voltage? And would the temperature make a difference?
I want to build a 24/28v battery with about 1000 ah or more! To power my off grid home. I was thinking possibly building a large nickel iron battery build each cell from sealed 5 gallon buckets. Or even 20 gallon barrels. Or build custom cases from fiberglass and or carbon fiber with spray in bed liner to seal the composit. Or possibly use epoxy as a sealer but a rubber would likely be a better sealer. I'm guessing a that the surface area can be figured to give the approximate capacity per cell. I imagine even a 5gallon bucket full of 2-3mm iron/nickel plates . A square bucket would be better for thick plates, yet a thin plate rolled up with each anode and cathode having multiple sheets each for more surface area. Being about O.6-0.8or 1mm thick each, basically a thick foil possibly stamp tiny holes, about 0.2mm in dia to add surface area. However being thin near foil with multiple layers, holes are not really going to gain much possibly a loss with the material lost making the hole! It would be awesome if steel and carbon could produce a decent cell, cheaper than nickel , and being lighter. Just a guess but 200lbs is easily possible per cell . With basically 60 cells to have a replacement cell incase one is damaged. And possibly experiment with nickel plated steel plates and copper clad with nickel. If it actually stored. 1000+ah it wiuld be great. Even possibly 2000-2500ah would be awesome with the ability to supply 400-500amps and 2000+amps short pulse current. Its a dream to have such a battery bank. Unfortunately im forced to have a smaller battery and use a DC generator to charge it when the sun can't. If it had more capacity i could wait until the sun was out more often. Brigt side, small battery charge fast at 150 amps!😊. Have an awesome day!
