The same level if cabin on Royal is much bigger. There is a walk in closet. Room on the balcony for 2 table chairs and 2 chaise and bath tub. Cabin was a bit wider Love the jets in the shower though.
We stayed in this cabin and it is AWESOME!!!! Large bedrooms with LOTS of space in each, plenty of closet storage. The balcony 'SCREEN" is fantastic. You can see where you are 24 hours a day . All things considered, this cabin is a great price for inside with PLENTY of space. The ONLY downside is that there is no outside space. For the pricepoint, my fellow traveler and I agreed that this unique cabin is MORE THAN WORTH the sacrifice of an outdoor balcony.
My friends and I are staying in this exact suite next March! We’ve seen other videos but none where you could really see just how big the second bedroom is. We agree that is a bargain for the money.
the second bedroom is HUGE!!! There is a full size bed, table with two chairs, vanity, double door shower AND a full bathroom with full stand up shower. BEST secret on the Joy hands down!
The living space is the same on regular balcony vs club balcony. The difference is that the cabin is longer to accommodate the bigger bathroom. Also, the bed does not pull out for sleeping. It is made up as a bed in its current configuration. Your cabin sleeps three. If it slept four there would be a pull down bunk in the ceiling.
Hi, thanks for your 😮video! We are going on the Ascent in the few days. What app you need to have To stream the content onto the tv in the room from your mobile device? Do you need a WiFi on your phone, iPad for streaming?
Right?! It was tight for 2 people, I can't imagine fitting more people in that space. A jacuzzi in the room would be my dream 😂 That'd definitely be worth the upgrade.
I always want the side of the bed closest to the bathroom. I wouldn't like that verandah either because yes, it will get very warm in the summer months in the Caribbean; and everything get wet from all the condensation.
Our first cruise was with Silhouette and we loved it been back again, first love. We have also been on Equinox and Reflection. My husband and I are going on Beyond February 2025 and can’t wait. Thank you for sharing this experience with us.
Great video! I will be doing concierge class on Edge for a transpacific cruise later this year. I checked out the price online for giggles only. Was shocked that it was LESS $ than infinite veranda as you stated in the video happens sometimes. So I booked it & will enjoy the extra points benefit because all other perks seem like an absolute JOKE 😂😂
The extra points per night is really where the value is at. Glad you found it for cheaper than an infinite veranda room. I hope you have a great cruise! Transatlantic and transpacific cruises are our favorite!
We got off Edge here in Australia and went concierge class. Like you we didn't think much of it. The canapes were lack luster; the lunch was not very good for us and we found the ship confining compared to say Quantum class RC. We won't be going on Celebrity again I think.
@@JamesandJase We only have Quantum class down here currently. Quantum of the Seas is leaving us next year for good. No word on which ship is being sent downunder! Hopefully an Oasis Class! 🙂
Just got off the Apex a few weeks ago..... Everything you are saying is what we experienced and then some. We had a booking on the Beyond for Feb next year, as soon as we got home, we canceled. Not a fan of Celebrity
Going on Appex 14 nights in aqua class, it was more expensive, however you do get to eat in Blue and in our case the OBS pretty much covered the difference /additional cost between the 2 categories, like yourselves, i was chasing the points to push us into elite 🤷😁
We really want to do Aqua class sometime soon, just waiting for the right price. The extra amenities you get, including the additional restaurant, really seem worth it. Hope you have a great cruise!
Thanks for the tour. My husband and I fly to Barcelona in 6 weeks to board the Ascent for a 12 day Mediterranean cruise. Can’t wait. I did see in another video there is a USB charger in the phone 😮.
Ice vid thanks. Personally I have ruled out Celebrity for any future cruises, yes the ships are fantastic and yes Celebrity tend to be superior to the other mainline cruises nut they are pushing the healthy living aspect too much and the final straw was their changes to the drink packages from Oct 23,,so the are nickel and dimming everyone…. I have done around 5 raises with Celebrity and they were my preferred cruise line But no more. The costs to our normal family grouping is just too much and yes for two middle class guys the costs may seem reasonable but not for others…. They are using the old airline trick of paying to pick your cabin rather than let the cruise company etc etc then adding extras but no thank you and I will be booking Princess
Fair enough! We've found that a lot of cruise lines are moving towards a more "à la carte," so to speak, model. You have to pay for a lot more extra things these days, it's unfortunate. That's one of the reasons why we like Virgin so much, it feels like so much more is included in the (admittedly expensive) price without having to pay for extra things like speciality dining. We haven't tried Princess yet, but we want to! Thanks for watching!
New viewer here, been on over 35 cruises myself. I see there's a Virgin fanboy among you! LOL. I have to agree on a lot, but the cabins on Virgin have some drawbacks to me....Storage could be a little better, but the big one is lack of real sofa in the veranda cabins. The "convert it to a sectional every day" was a failed design from the moment they launched the ship and they should correct it when ships go into dry dock. Secondly, I LOVE modern design (I live in a mid century house), but I found the deck areas to be kind of "cold" and austere...It's literally battleship grey/silver and heat absorbing red Everywhere. When on deck, I want to feel connected to the sea, you don't feel that on Virgin ships, except at The Dock, which is one of the most brilliant outdoor spaces. The "every stairway is metallic grey walls with metal railings" makes it feel like a hospital. And their app is terrible, it's pretty, and you can book restaurants in advance, but it is soooo buggy and hard to use at times. All of that being said, I LOVE Virgin, they are innovators in the industry. I love that the crew are allowed to be a human being, have a personality, and it shows, they are happy and do an exceptional job because of the way Virgin takes care of them. The food is the best at sea IMHO, and the entertainment was cool and inventive. Thanks for a great video guys!
With as much as you guys cruise, you should look into casino offers. It's so easy to score a free cruise on Celebrity and the perks far exceed the cruise loyalty programs.
@@JamesandJase Princess is worth a try. Their older ships are extremely similar in design, but the newer classes are quite nice. I t is an older demographic on most sailing, like, much older, but Holland America has some great ships. None are huge, the newer class of ship are highly focused on music and food and the service is amazing. I was surprised how much I liked them, as I am not yet "HAL age", lol.
