This is most likely my last BDO video, the last changes they have done and the lack of communication along as all my friends leaving along with the guild I was playing with and the guilds we fought against also leaving.. which has forced me to quit. I will cherish the memories and thank for the time spent. :)
Tried yet another season in Black Desert Online! And funnily enough made 50 billion silver during it.. 😅 Normally I main ranger but thought I would try something else, which ended up a musa.
Important to note: changing your power settings max value to anything lower than 100% turns off CPU boosting completely. This IS NOT A FIX. This basically makes your CPU run at 4.2 Ghz Maximum rather than 5.25 for the x3d CCD. It is the same as disabling boosting from the BIOS. So please don't call this a fix. Your CPU will be significantly slower now...
I agree it's a issue. But not a overheating issue. Newer AMD CPU's by default try to overclock them selfs untill 95c. Normal behavior, won't damage the CPU.
Xingcode has a long story with "Pearl Abyss" as we all know is the same koreans who developed "Continent of the ninth seal" which is completely dead specially since "webzen" started using xingcode3 as "Anti-cheat" which has so many workarounds that gold sellers, bots and cheaters become a plague so big that webzen was completely unable to manage.. So this is a pretty big red flag right now.
i remember that when KAKAO was the publisher of BDO in the west they were using Xingcode as their anti cheat. i do not know why PA swapped away from Easy Anti-Cheat.

You have to admit tho smashing a staff into the ground while summoning meteors feels like a unlimited amount of meteors bc you drinked your flask watching everything get crumbled to star dust once more. Fucking beautiful. One of my favorite spells in the game and i despise mages all around the board.
Masterpiece my ASS. it may look good from the outside but playing this is a travesty. 80% of the core features doesn't work and haven't been working for 8 years and every major patch it gets worse. Masterpiece, what a joke!
I played my first play through of elden ring(my first fromsoft game) as a strict melee build. No summons at all. It is satisfying but not that much. Playing as a mage however would be so much more satisfying since I played as a mage in all similar games like skyrim, greedfall, etc.
One thing to note is that this is running on CryEngine 3 which is quite old by now and they have been working on optimizing the game for a while now so we can let the buggy mess part slide. All of that aside, this game is a masterpiece but optimizing bugs and lagginess for mid-range pcs shouldn't take years
People have been talking about the potential since 2014, I've been beta testing the game since 2015 and backed in 2012. The game is a dumpster fire. A lot of people in the community are lunatics with massive amounts of sunk cost that will attack you for speaking the truth. You said maybe it will be better in a few years? It's been in development for 11 years now and has the largest development fund in the history of video games. I suggest watching BlinkyATX videos called Sunk Cost Galaxy or Golgot100 videos on the things they have promised but are failing to deliver. Anyhow regards enjoyed the video.
