The Mark of Cain (TMOC), based in Adelaide, Australia - has also been described to be one of the best and " most brutal bands around today." This talented outfit had it's beginnings in 1984 and have since released five main LP's plus numerous singles and EP's.
What I like about TMOC is how their music feels like suppressed neuroticism that occasionally bursts to the surface (vocally). Very understated and authentic vibes of the singer's self-professed outsider/solitude disposition
Battlesick anniversary show at 48 Watt Street was heavy fucking duty. I think they were coming through Newcastle this month on a festival before Kim had his cycling mischief.
they make hard fuckers in Adelaide haha - it ain't a city for pussies.....shit I am from Adelaide and I knew these guys (sort of) from a record store they owned or ran in the 90s. But I was too busy buying Deicide, Cathedral and Godflesh records to pay attention to this awesome, unholy ruckus - my loss....
Geof Holmes The opening riff on the A chord was written by Geof Holmes and Ian Robert Krahe wrote the counterpoint riff on the D chord that follows it in 1975. First heard in a band called Evil Roomers when they were recorded in 1977. Krahe later used the riffs in X which added the lyrics and chorus when they wrote Degenerate Boy.
54 degrees inside Fowlers, eh?! Probably because the heaters were on. An excellent ploy to sell out of booze, no? Well... maybe not that particular night, but on the slower nights. Anyway, good to see the Scott bros get some recognition at last. Well deserved.
@@DBASSDANAgreed!!!! His drumming is next level with TMOC, especially on This Is This! It's exceptional and really could be, with the greatest respect to John and Kim, the lead instrument of the band. Off to see them tonight perform Ill At Ease kicking off the tour from Adelaide. Long-term middle-age female and definitely their number under fan 😊 They're timeless and hate to admit, I'd put them on the shelf for a couple of years going down other musical EDM/hip-hop/rap discoveries. Fell straight back in to their music and, hate to brag, air-drumming to This Is This almost faultlessly. Bit sore for a few days after that too 😁 Saw then a decade ago with Eli and again tonight, but can't help but regret not being able to see Join in the flesh, live on drums as he's a performance in himself seeing the RU-vid live.
And always gets better Was at the Canberra show last night and man just watched Eli the whole set basically Seen him about 10 times Over the past few years he’s awesome
@@adefset4811 brilliant show hey!!?! Huge effort by Kim after his cycling NDE glad you enjoyed the show as the beat crowd in Australia Adelaide) set them off on their path this tour for the rest of Australia 👍!
