What a pretty little angel! Just rewatched your little Halloween t-shirt dress. I'm making a trick or treat bag from quilting cotton for a toddler - could I use cotton fabric for the dress skirt or does it have to be knit? Thanks for your designs!
@@gailfisher4767 hi Gail! Of course the cotton fabrics will work beautifully, but as you know - washing and ironing woven cotton can be a chore. I prefer to use knits for garments strictly to avoid ironing!!!
@@maecrampton8232 Hi Mae! Neckties are very limited in sizes - you can have 14 ties and it’s too small, but adding only one tie makes it too big! Try to collect ties of varying widths. Before adding the last tie and the waistband, try on the skirt (the best you can!) Estimate the measurement for the final tie and search for it in your stash to finish your skirt. If it’s a little tight it sits higher on your waist. A little loose fits lower. You can also try styling with a sweater or other layers to improve the fit. Have fun sewing, and thank you for watching my video!
Thank you so much I really really enjoyed watching you create this beautiful and inspiring piece. It’s so unique and beautiful and I really really love ❤❤❤❤ this skirt. I’ve subscribed and given you a thumbs up too
I don't know how I missed so many of your videos!? I left off at the Pixie Noel series. Another pretty angel you have created! I love the lace on the bottom of the dress! We finally got a Hobby Lobby closer to us so I'm thinking of seeing what's there as I need to start thinking about Christmas ornaments. I want to make the angels for my granddaughters but need to figure out what to do for the grandsons. I'll have to look through your videos to get some ideas. Thank you for sharing! 😊
Hi Linda! Sometimes I wash vintage lace, but first I check by smelling. Often I can tell that it is fresh and clean. If it doesn’t smell fresh or looks dirty or stained, I use a plastic dishpan and some warm water and gentle soap. I swish the lace, squeeze out the soap, repeat several times, rinse with clear water and lay flat on a towel to dry.
