I am excited that I ran across this splitter. An old farmer with a bad back that still loves to do firewood needs a vertical! There are several things I like about yours over the competition! One question though. I understand the electric over hydraulic which most of my newer equipment is that! I like the looks of the valve that looks like you can control the conveyor? The push buttons for the log lift. Can that speed be slowed up? That is the only thing I see that I had a question about! Thank you for coming up with a very nice looking splitter. I hope to have one soon. What kind of time frame to get one?
Thank you Curt the speed on the log lift is adjustable. I'm glad you like our machine and we are about 6 weeks right now. Email us at Garlandsfabrication@gmail.com I can give you more info.
Northern Tool did not package this properly. That is the issue. Get 10 of these and package them like this one was with a little bitty grey foam pad. Send them 1000 miles and see how many of your Hondas arrive in new condition. Fedex did their job just fine..... TECHNICALLY, at the point a leak is seen Northern Tool should be contacted and told to come get it at whatever station it is at. Engines should be shipped dry to avoid this very thing.
The box and engine has been rolled numerous times. I agree the packaging is weak to say the least! The ignition housing is crushed it has been abused by someone in transit. I guarantee they wouldn't take it that way. It also is not full of oil but does have residual left in them from run in at the factory. It looks like it sat upside down for some time.
First thing to say, this is the Internet please please please blur your address on packages! Crazy people even if you know you can protect yourself! Second Nice knife, cut that thing like butter HAHA Third, I would’ve personally let it closed and just had fedex pick it up exactly how they dropped it off, they are such a terrible company and if you don’t have the exact proof they deny refunds! I hope you got a refund or a replacement my guy!
They are supposed to be sending out a replacement northerntool so far was not bad to deal with. We will see how it all plays out. We are a bussiness so our address is not hard to get its all over the place. Thank you I will blur it next time for the weirdos that are getting excited.
FedEx is the worst delivery company. So many times they delivery packages in the campground where I live to the opposite side of the complex! And the lot number isn't even remotely close!
We can build you a machine with a lever instead of the buttons if you want it that way. Once you get use to which button to push like which way to push a lever it's like second nature. Thank you
@@Garlands_Fabrication in Waushara County, WI. The lever is nice as the hydraulics can be "feathered" a little. Helps on my splitter to keep the big rounds from rolling off.
It tows great we use a dexter torsion axle. The cylinder has no effect on the way it tows. It has good tongue weight also. We do put bungee cords on the conveyor belt to keep it from slapping. They do have towing lights also.
The machine cracks the slabs every 24 to 36 inches depending on what pattern they want. Then the will roll it with a 50ton proof roller to seat the concrete then they will pave over it all.
Great craftsmanship , looks better made than Easton's Axis ...and that's saying something . Are they available for sale ? If so what are the details. Great Job !
Alright I could have done that without all that. How is this faster than an axe? See what I don't get is all these guys talking about how big their arms are. Okay well if that's the case then why can't you split this log?
We grew up using axes 🪓 We use to split and stack wood in my grandfather's basement once a month. Some of my best memories riding out in the woods with the old super xl12. Towing down trees out and filling the basement.
I used to work cutting splitting and loading semi trucks of firewood back on the 2000s. I can say that this is the most intense hard labor I have ever done. Not anybody can handle 10 to 12 hours out on the 100,plus degrees, moving around at full speed to get the job done, Good memories I got from those years. 👍👍
