Since rifles are the weapons used least in crimes including suicides, you tell me why they want to ban these when 450 people a year are murdered with rifles whereas 1650 are murdered with knives. 100,000 die from opioid overdose, 250,000 die from medical mistakes and 480,00 die from tobacco. Yet this is the entire focus of the democrat party. Taking semi auto rifles away from the peasants. It's already supposedly been done in Canada and handguns too but they have been unable to collect the semi automatic rifles in Canada.
Something I noticed that every forward assist denier believes is that everyone hits that button with full force, which could make a jam worse. I have yet to see anyone actually hit one and do this. Obviously, needing to use more force than pressing it in probably means there is something wrong, and at that point, it's likely forcing a round in could cause damage or a stuck bolt, but I have yet to see anyone hammer it in and do just that. I have had to press my forward assist once, and that was when my newly built LH eject .350 lgnd didn't sit all the way. Thank god stag arms kept the forward assist, and it runs great after I broke it in.
I mean it IS an ancient weapon, barely newer than an stg44 The main problem with the AK is that they're sold WAY higher than they have any right to. If you could just buy them for $50 a piece like they were intended to when they were first made and everyone had 5 of them around the house, it'd be a different tale.
Yeah I haven’t been able to figure out how so many morons sprouted overnight who seemingly have zero understanding or clue about the ar15 preaching no forward assist… like a brain parasite spreading around
While I certainly don't agree with RU-vid's policy on gun content, I can't say I think it's a good thing that Congress is getting involved. The last thing we want is the government regulating private enterprise more than it already does.
Training and being prepared for the sounds and visuals of firearms in a confined space give the defender an advantage. You control the environment, and violence of action leaves the aggressor unprepared. Conflicts can often be won without bloodshed in these situations. There is no advantage to being silent once you pull the trigger.
I agree with you 100%. A lot of people are 'training' for the apocalypse these days 🙄. Being a Desert Storm Veteran I know John Wick type movies and U-Tube vids provide a misconception that goes out to the public. The greater majority do not really get what the Red Dawn or crumble of modern society scenario would actually be like.......I digress, sorry. The only reason I even have offset sights (flip up) is if my scope bust or fogs up on me during a hunt. Living in Europe for a couple decades, being a poor American hunter, I had lesser scopes that failed on me. So once I moved back to the US I started using my AR for hunting and realized after watching a few videos that REMFs made (not yours) that the flips might work for me when hunting. My flip ups would only get upped if I noticed Murphy's Law hit my scope. So mine aren't "tactical" and I have them zeroed to 50 yards (my old eyes can't see much past that for ethical hunting).
Kurt, My guess is they're just going to internalize it. They'll pay federal employees to become FFLs and destroy the firearms with more of our tax dollars.
This is what you get if you're a liberal Democrat pretending to be a gun owner. This rifle wasn't really put together to be a successful assassination attempt but to look scary to non gun owners when he gets caught. This was all a plot to blame gun owners and smear conservatives.
are you for or against using a suppressor. you say don't use one then go on to explain why you should but in a way that says otherwise, moral of this story no matter how you shoot a gun in your house you better just sleep on the couch to avoid being shot by your wife
Well not only can I not afford one but I live in the Connie State of Assachusetts so they're not legal here at all! I can function with no hearing briefly and thankfully I live alone so I only need to worry about the criminal and what ge has to say doesn't matter especially if it's groaning in pain!
How are they claiming that firearm components that were sent off to be destroyed are being found at crime scenes? All of those components in question are unserialized. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but this is just a blatant lie. So what’s next? We have a tax hike to pay for the government to oppress us? Where else will they get the money to pay for the firearms to be “destroyed?”
Buy backs on a national level would be a bureaucratic nightmare And like all those not designed to salve anything other than to please a sub set of voters and look good on liberal media.
The SKS has never been as Assault rifle, during the AWB. I mocked the AWB, because a man named Duran shot at the White House with an SKS right after Clinton signed the AWB. This is exactly why Dims undergoing Senate confirmation will not answer questions, (nor will the Dim Senators themselves) to define an Assault Weapon. Yes the scope is a joke, b square made a decent mount but it still obstructed the rifle. Yes, it is possible to change the add on magazines, but it is difficult! That's what got Duran caught! Basically, the bolt has to be held open at the same time the magazine is changed. The few Chinese SKS designed to take AK mags, the bottom of the bolt carrier was narrowed to fit inside the magazine. Otherwise it held the magazine in by the feed lips. Most of the world's SKS are already in the United States, I don't know the total, but estimate 6 million? Another problem, the majority of those are C&R eligible! The Chinese actually built new SKS for the US market, pressing in the barrel like an AK, with a cast bolt Carrier. They were kind of a part of the Bush import ban, which forced the removal of the bayonet, held onto the rifle with a screw! I suppose screwing a bayonet back onto a Chinese SKS was some sort of federal crime, the only prosecution I know of was from a State law not the Federal one. In contrast, the Russian, Yugoslavian, Romanian, and to a limited extent Albanian SKS were imported as C&R. Hannity reported, no one else seemed to confirm, Trump was not visible at the reported range, but would have passed within 40 yards had he not been spotted. Obviously they want to minimize the atrempt!
Gun buy backs are stupid. They originally wanted criminals to self disarm without consequence. All they got for their (OUR) money is old or broken guns. Mean times the criminals would get a stake to modernize on the black market. Drug users on the other hand would steal guns and wait for the buy back for cash for the next lid.
Are they going to break in to your house to ensure your car keys are being stored responsibly and an unlicensed person cannot drive your car? Same fookin thing.
