Good morning, We live in Chapala, Mexico and have an APSystems solar installation. Eight panels and two micro inverters. Also, an ECU-R monitoring system. Originally, we had two QS1 inverters. One inverter died and was replaced by APSystems with a DS3D. This replacement does not communicate with the ECU-R, but it is producing. Looks like APSystems in Guadalajara are not capable of fixing it and it has been months since it happened. Is there any contact in the good old USA that can assist me, please ? I will really appreciate it. Thank you. Deryck S.
Cloud led never becoming green :/ i think it s because I got a firewall to setup here like this doc ask : emea.apsystems.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/APsystems_Trouble_Shooting_Guide_A4_2021.pdf
This thing is so shitty, the connection keeps failing and as soon as you can connect you have somethine like 20 seconds to try configuring everything before it dies again. What a pos hardware.. Why not just let us connect to a web interface to it's ip or just make this stupid wlan accesspoint stable before pushing it down to everyone, better yet stop using proprietary zigbee protocol so that we don't even have to rely on this terrible hardware

DIY Error “Set Failed, Please Try Again. Please disconnect your phone from the ECU and connect to the internet.” And then after “ECU ID already exist.” It’s giving me headaches because I still don’t have EMA capabilities
Good afternoon, the company offers training and visits to the factory? , I would like to know the factories in China or the United States, I am an engineer and installer with a solar energy company
You probably dont care at all but does any of you know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow forgot my login password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me!
@Bronson Titus i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
This has proven to be a very unreliable product. Worse, the company refuses to provide any warranty support. Sadly, look around on RU-vid and you'll see others complaining of the same poor treatment from APSystems. If you want a cheap system that costs you a ton in the end (because you have to replace it), buy this one. My mistake.
Use great care in selecting your inverters..... My personal experience is that APSystem was a mistake. They are not supporting the product or the customer. That means not honoring a warranty, leaving the customer out to dry. Now, that might not be so bad if the inverters lasted worth a darn. But after 5 years, about 40% of them have failed and some of the others have exhibited problems. The failed ones had clear manufacturing defects with poor soldering of the electrolytic capacitors. All in all, selecting APSystems was a clear failure on my part 5 years ago.
AFter 5 years, about 40% of my inverters have failed, and the company refuses to honor a warranty that it previously said was in force. That speaks more volumes to me than a video lauding the benefits of a system. Marketing is easy.... Producing a product that has longevity and providing support are, apparently, a challenge
APSystems spends money on their marketing and video presentation. Unfortunately, their quality has been horrible. An unacceptable number of my units have failed, and have had clear manufacturing defects in the form of cold solder joints. Give me a break... Cold solder joints? Who is building these things? But will they honor the warranty. NO NO NO... they put up a stone wall and refuse to do anything. THE WORST DECISION I EVER MADE WITH SOLAR WAS TO USE APSYSTEMS INVERTERS.
The worst decision I *ever* made was to install APSystem equipment. It is unreliable in that it has a very high failure rate. Worse, they have zero support, and will not honor their warranty even when they previously confirmed that the warranty was in effect. I CAUTION ANYONE ABOUT THESE SYSTEMS! Do you homework. Check out Enphase. Research their failure rates, support, etc. BUY FROM THE ONE YOU TRUST.
Victor... Welcome to the club. I installed APSystems and it has been a simply horrible experience. Their modules die with clockwork regularity and they won't honor their own warranty. I don't feel they should even be in business anymore given the quality of the product, high failure rate, and abhorrent customer support. I've seen bad, but this is worse. Replace their junk with Enphase and it is like a dream. Enphase *wants* your business and it shows. You can register and maintain your products with Enphase. Talk to customer support and their are friendly and helpful, not rude and useless. I haven't had the need for warranty replacement so I really can't comment there... but that is a good thing! Frankly, looking around the industry will give you a pretty good idea that Enphase seems to have a pretty good failure rate (meaning low). Personal experience has shown that APSystems has a failure rate that is laughable.
Good to know, I was going to buy a used setup with some YC500a inverters. Does anyone know if the warranty is transferable? This will be for ground mount so failure is not too much of an issue if they stand behind their warranty. Any way to check them quickly before I purchase? They are likely in a box, but I should have access to solar panels when I go see them.
Monte... You do *not* want to buy this product if you are a certified installer. Frankly, I question if you want to buy this product anyhow, as it fails with regularity, but that is a different problem entirely. But if you are asking where to get the inverters, the most likely scenario is that you are not an authorized installer. APSystems will happily allow distributors to sell to you, but they will not give you one iota of help. You will not even be able to setup monitoring on your system. And if someone does help with that, when the inverters fail (and they will), then you will not be able to reassign inverters to your account. Do yourself a favor and research Enphase. Their product is more expensive, but the company is easy to work with. It is also a larger company, and is the market leader. I say all of this as a customer who is thoroughly, and absolutely frustrated by APSystems inability to support a product beyond stonewalling.
