Question: I just bought the Andream and my 530d 2003 does not have AUX. I plan to get it coded, is it necessary for me to buy the jack and cable for AUX?
Die it today on my E60. I changed both arms and the angle grimder was needed 😂. Only finished right side today. Other side willl follow, but then I will use the angle grimder directly. In my case the torx bolt went RIP. My Gedore tool was stronger😊.

I know this video is older but THANK YOU. By FAR this was the easiest guide.. for some reason i could not get it to work. But THANK YOU THANK YOU. I added an android 12 aftermarket head unit and this was the video that finally helped me 😭
You don’t need the aux port as that is only an input to the main block connector. Which is also hijacked by the android unit. You just need it to be coding if you don’t have aux (pre2005). 👍
This engine is quite frustrating, to change the valvetronic system the parts are relatively affordable but the fact that you need to take the whole valve cover off is what costs so much. The fuel savings you get from the system ends up slapping you bright back in the face in repairs 😂😂
Good how-to guide for this job... will probably need to do this to sort my sunroof out, dreaded blocked drain pipes etc. But it looks like a job half-done with those beige handles and trim panels still in place. Did you finish it with black items in the end? Would look much more OEM that way.
Yeah, it was simply a case that the seller lost them when I picked up the whole lot. The car has now moved on to a new owner so I guess it’s just a lesson learnt for the next project! Thanks for watching though, it really isn’t a bad job - just time consuming. Good luck 👍👍
Have you connected 3 wire to 4 wire? If so, it won’t work. Do your old mirrors have power fold? Do your new mirrors also have power fold? And vice versa. You have to install the same spec as your old mirrors. Thats the first question I would ask.
@@seanjohnston8606 does your car have folding mirrors etc then? You have to buy the mirror that matches your original spec. My car didn’t have folding mirrors so I bought late e60 (f10 style) mirrors without folding (4 pin) to match my door loom (4 pin). If you don’t have folding mirrors, your door loom is correct and someone has already put the wrong mirrors in before. If you do have folding mirrors, then I’m a little lost on that as it shouldn’t be the case.
I have been having battery problems on my 15 x5 35i. I replaced the h8 battery and car was good for a while. My battery died earlier this week (it was snowing that morning) and this morning i also got a discharged battery but it didn't die (we had light flurries this morning). I picked up a Launch creader elite and scanned it just now and got a D90D29 error code, Rain light solar condensation sensor: missing LIN slave. Do you think the RLS sensor is bad and keeping the module awake? I also have 2 instrument cluster codes, E12C32 status brightness of surrounding area invalid & E12C24 signal status driving light invalid transmitter JBE/BDC. Also have 4 ac codes that mention solar sensor. Please help 😢🙏
I see you've got the kielder impact. What's your thoughts? Mines been struggling a bit recently with bolts it'd usually whip straight off, only had it 2 year and not used it much
Hi bud having nothing but issues with mine bought 2 different aux ports now re wired them had the car coded twice but no luck frustraiting th daylights out of me
"nobody ever said copper slip was bad" - erm, no, coating everything in copper slip is definitely not good! Much better to use a very slight smear of silicone grease, especially around rubber parts like gaiters and boots. The only place I use copper slip/grease these days is on the threads of my diesel glow plugs. I used to use it on all sorts of things like wheel studs/bolts but those go on dry as they should be now. I've got a 2008 535d E61 which is about to receive a full rear suspension refurb with OE Lemforder parts this weekend and your video was very interesting because my car tramlines like hell when crossing the crown of the road during an overtake. I'm replacing all the arm and bushes so should fix the problem hopefully. Thanks.

Thanks for watching - on the later engines it’s further up the air intake nearer the back of the engine. I will make a new video on this soon as mine will need cleaning out.
