I have very fond memories of Verona, Italy, where my family camped when I was in 10th grade. I’d just studied Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet in school, and it was so exciting to see Juliet’s balcony in Verona! My dad was stationed with the Air Force in Germany and we were able to visit many countries. I collected wildflowers wherever we went and pressed them in parchment paper to send to my godmother in Wisconsin. I was also entranced with Venice, especially glass blowers. Have a fabulous trip.
I would love to visit Italy - we just visited London and Ireland last week - amazing trip…..went and found the no bees chart when I saw yours…thanks for the enabling! Love it ❤
When I was young many times we go on holiday to Italy. Love the beaches, ice cream and the bags. (I think its way too expensive to send it to Norway, so don't put me in drawing). Happy stitching and enjoy the weather.
Have the best time visiting family and in Italy! Loved your three projects, but loved your photos and descriptions of how you improved the yard even more!
I actually was just in Italy a month ago and went to the cross stitch store in Florence that I think you are referring to. She does have a sign up that says no photographs and she doesn’t speak any English, but she is delightful. We did manage to communicate with our bits of Spanish and Italian. my daughter and I both kitted up a project and had a wonderful experience with her. She was so excited to have visitors that loved the craft. I actually do not need to be in the drawing as I have stash beyond my life expectancy 😂
Hi there! Your bee project is turning out SO good! I have that pattern and totally want to stitch it on blue now too! 🩵 I loved hearing about your yard. I think what you did was so cool! I hope you have safe travels and happy stitching! ♥️
Hello Anna. I have been to Italy several times. You don't need to worry about learning italian. They speak english very well, at least I had this experience. What is recommended is their strawberry gelato. Please try😀😀😀
I really do enjoy your channel and I’m excited for you about your trip to Italy. My husband has never wanted to travel over seas so I live vicariously through others. 😊
International travel is not our highest priority either. But the grandparents wanted to plan something with their kids and grandkids, so who could say no?! It should be great. Thanks for commenting!
I enjoy hearing about all your outdoor time with your son. I was a stay-at-home mom for 13 years, and it was the best time of my life. Don’t get me wrong, being an empty nester is awesome, too! I have been to Italy (please do not enter me in the giveaway), but I have not been to Florence. I hope you get to the needle shop so you can share pictures with us. Look at me being all selfish.😂
I've been to Italy a few times... are you skipping Rome? There are loads of cool places all around Italy, but I think my favorite place was Pompeii. I went to Venice during the rainy season to avoid all the tourists, but I didn't take into account why there aren't any tourists (all the streets covered with water which means your feet are soaking wet ALL of the time unless you're smart and take boots, which obviously you wouldn't think about if you're there in the flood season in the first place... he he!) Have a lovely time!
We're not going to Rome this trip. Most of the group has already been there at some point. I went to Rome when I was studying in Spain in college. It was great, but I think Venice and Florence will keep us busy!
Hi Anna Love your WIPS - Great Progress on them. They are so so pretty. I just love Bird Song. This is so so beautiful. My Niece has been to Italy and she loved it. It was a Work Trip. She was there for two weeks. I would love to go to Italy someday. Enjoy your Trips. Please be careful. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🙏🧵🪡🧵✂️❤️
I went on my dream vacation to Italy in 2007. It was a dream come true and have been wanting to go back ever since. My tip is buy what you want. I bought 2 forks in Venice and have been regretting not buying a few more. I often still have dreams that I’m trying to return to that store to buy some more. Also, if you like ice cream, eat gelato as often as you can! 😃 have fun and take lots of pictures
Thank you, I'm looking forward to it! My mother-in-law inspired me to collect Christmas ornaments from our travels, so I'll be looking for those in addition to a cross stitching souvenir!
Hi there! I recently found your channel, and it’s just great! 🩷 you have some really beautiful projects! I’m excited to see your start of the Birds of a Feather Bee piece. I have also been watching Cathy for a long time, and she is one of my favorites too! I too have a soft spot for Peter Rabbit 🩵 those stories always remind me of my mom. We don’t often have rabbits in our yard, but we have a little family right now, and they bring me such joy! Happy stitching!! P. S. Can’t wait to see pictures of the front yard! How exciting!!
I just finished watching all of your videos, and I have loved them all. Your projects are very different than what I have stitched, but you've made me so excited to try a project that is full coverage. 🙂 I also have the No Bees, No Honey chart and I really like your approach to it. Looking forward to seeing your start! Thank you for taking the time to share your stitching with all of us!
Blue fabric with yellow floss is very pretty together, a dimension stocking has been on my to do list for many years, it has been a beautiful day here and we have just arrived home from a lovely forest walk and fairy trail, we say lots of sweet fairy houses, flowers and even some baby rabbits and a few squirrels, gorgeous day but I am pooped now.
I'm happy with my fabric choice so far! We also just got back from a forest walk. It's nice to see so many little critters this time of year. Thanks for commenting!
Ohh Anna, Peter Rabbit is my favourite story, Beatrix Potter was such an exceptional writer and the little sketches are adorable, I love your Egg, I have seen a lot about these little frames for stitching them and they definitely seem to be the way to go.
I have such wonderful memories with Peter Rabbit. My mom would read the stories to me when I was a child. I even had a Peter Rabbit coloring book. I cannot wait to share these stories with my future children 🥰
Hello Anna, I love your mill hill egg, it is so pretty, I have yet to try a Mill Hill, but I have recently started stitching samplers, just small ones but I am really enjoying them especially the different fonts, my pet rabbit when was growing up called Tibby, don’t know how I came up with that name but he was my best friend for many years.
Nice flosstube i like them! Thank you for that! I like Beatrix Potter and the Stories of Peter Rabbit the Books and Films😍 and i love the idea that i can make Peter Rabbit❤
I had rabbits growing up! Mine was brown and fluffy. My sisters was white with black spots and hers would bite!! They got out one time and my brown one lived under the tree! Maybe some day I will get rabbits again but I'm good with dogs 😂 Happy stitching!!
Such beautiful stitching! I really love birds, too. The game looks like something my family would really enjoy. When our oldest was a baby we decorated his nursery with a Peter Rabbit theme. I'm still drawn to those stories and images. I look forward to seeing your yard after the native plants have been added!
I was born in the year of the rabbit, so I like them a lot, but I know what you mean about what they can do to your plants!! Thanks for a fun flosstube - I just found you and am going back through some of your past videos.
Hi Anna! Wonderful catching up with you that Mill Hill egg is absolutely stunning!! I can’t wait to see it finished! The dragonfly is so beautiful. What a great find! Hugs.❤
Hi Anna!! I just found your flosstube and loved watching you. I’m very inspired by the way you colored your chart using geranium petals…how cool is that!!! My children grew up with Beatrix Potter stories and now I love to share them with my two beautiful grandbabes. I would so love to stitch some rabbits and tell Ronan and Oliver the stories of Peter Rabbit!!
What awesome estate sale finds! I never get that lucky at sales in my area! I ended up adding that red winged blackbirds pattern to my wish list...thx for the enabling 😂 jk jk ...I love watching haul even tho its so bad for me! Lol
