I think the premise is on point. It's plain and simple and how it should be. You become accountable to God. And if you learn God well through his word you won't want to disappoint the almighty.
I've read the book about 3 times now and it really works although is no easy to stop eating when you are full and eat only when you are hungry and I have failed sometimes but you know what? I can testify to you that God is good and he can help you if you really let him, He understand you and loves you your body is a temple and needs to be treated as such that's why we constantly have that desire to lose weight and to look good keep going keep trying keep praying don't give up love you!

I am doing this course at home and certainly, there are subtle and more obvious heart changes... i'd enjoy a group, but part of the desert experience, doing it alone, with God as my pillar of fire by night and cloud of cover by day, is so personal. It's a greater commitment, but the rewards are greater as well.
